I’ve been using Pet Valu self-serve washing stations for nine years, since my dog was a puppy. She’s reactive, so I always ask to pay before the wash, that way, if other animals come in, we can leave quickly without stress. This has never once been an issue at any Pet Valu location I’ve visited over the years. This was my first time at this location since moving, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The employee took issue with me paying beforehand and began lecturing me, saying that “if the owner catches you, it’ll be a problem.” I was also told I only have 30 minutes from the time I pay. I understand the wash is a 30-minute service, but allowing someone to pay before using the station is not unreasonable, especially when it’s to accommodate a dog with different needs. Pet care should be inclusive and understanding, not rigid and confrontational. Not every dog is the same. I also want to note that I always return to the store afterward to buy treats and bones once my dog is safely back in the car. Unfortunately, the employee’s attitude was so off-putting that I’d rather take my business elsewhere. I’m more than willing to drive farther to a location that is accommodating and respectful. To make matters worse, the washing station was visibly dirty and poorly maintained, and the store itself was bare and understocked. It genuinely felt like a lack of care overall. If the same energy used to give me a hard time had gone into maintaining the wash station and store, this would have been a very different experience. Extremely disappointing. 0 stars if that were an option. Do better.
I really appreciate the professionalism and attentiveness at this location. There's excellent staff... Gabby, in particular, is absolutely incredible. You can truly tell she loves her job and she is very good at what she does. Great location and also always fully stocked! Highly recommend
Came in for the DIY dog wash station. Very satisfied, staff very friendly, they supply the shampoo, conditioner, water with controllable Temperature, towel, apron, blow dryer, and it's nice not to have to be bent over your own bathtub. It's a raised wash station, even has a slip lead to keep the dog in the wash station. Price was very reasonable pay per half hour. 1st half hour is 15, and 7 per half hour after that. It is 1st come 1st served but there are two wash stations. I didn't see a brush. So next time I'll likely bring my own, but don't let that take away from how awesome and appreciated this is.
This Pet Value is a mid sized pet store in a good location. There is close parking and a main parking lot so you won't have a problem. The prices are reasonable and they seem to always have in-store deal of one sort or another. Even my little dogs didn't mind walking around with me. The store was clean and well organized
Cathy was so informative, I plan to change my pets diet to raw and after talking with her she explained it so I could confidently change. Never felt rushed and provided full education. Thank u for a wonderful experience ?
I visit a lot of pet values and they are a pretty good places with a good selection of foods for our animals. Sometimes you need shop around for the best prices at other stores as some items are quite expensive compared to other stores like walmart. Overall a good choice in my eyes.
First time using the Dog Washing Station and it went well. The tubs are elevated so easy on the back. Doggie shampoos, conditioners, towels, aprons and blow dry are all included. Great deal, especially compared to the cost of dog grooming these days. Highly recommend ?
