*DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL*We booked this hotel 4 month ago for September stay because of BTS concerts held at FirstOntario Centre. We arranged flights and everything far from Japan and suddenly got the notice of cancellation of our room just a month before the concerts because of their overbooking.I am pretty sure that their room was available for a while even after we completed the booking. How can they cancel the room booked before the hotel was fully booked? They must've chosen the customers who booked later with higher price.I've traveled many countries including Asia, Europe and Americas but I've never experienced such an unprofessional and irresponsible hotel like here in my life. You better book somewhere else if you visit Hamilton.

Since it is a 3-star hotel, I really can not complain too much. It is a well deserved 3-star hotel. The staff is really nice and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit old, and some renovation might be needed in the near future. We were assigned to an unprepared room, but they changed a clean room for us immediately. The keys were not working smoothly, and we always tried multiple times to open the door. The buffet was a 3-star level, not too much surprise, but met my expectation.Location is really great, close to everything. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.

STAY AWAY!!Had a reservation for the August long weekend and received a call today July 31, 2018 cancelling our reservation. Being a larger hotel you would think that they would realize when they are over booking and would have the sense to do something about it. We will never book with Crowne Plaza again!People are expecting that when you give your credit card to reserve your room that it be kept for you. Its hard to plan a weekend away if your accommodations are no longer available.

My family stayed over for one night and at first they upgraded our room due to furniture breakage, and the reception lady was very polite. Even the room was clean and nice, but the problem happened, due to tons of Asian students(I think they were Chinese). They were wearing same uniform grouping by themselves all around the hotel, and even smoking right in front of the entrance, but this was not the problem, the problem happened at night. My family was exhausted so all ladies slept together in the room, and my father slept at the living room extra bed, and when everyone was a sleep, and my father was preparing himself to go to bed as well at the livingroom, all of sudden there was a sound of someone opening our door, and my father was frightened and shout at him asking whom it was, and he said he was a teacher(?) Came to check whether his students are back for sleep or not. So my father said this is not the room of your student so get out, and he just left like that...I can not believe of the fact that he had the master key(?) To open our door. Is it really okay to just give guests a master key like that? What if the ladies were sleeping in the living room and all were already a sleep? I can't even imagine...We were in such a hurry that I did not hear this accident when we were leaving, so I was not able to complaint. But i am very disappointed in their system and management.I do not think I would ever go back.l

Deplorable. I placed a hold on a block of rooms with the assistant general manager in March for my September wedding. When it came time for my guests to actually book after invitations had been sent out, I had a few people alert me that the hotel said they had no record of my block on file. When I reached out to the AGM to investigate the issue he informed me that since there hadn't been any bookings in the block for two months after the reservation was made, it had been deemed inactive and deleted, and that the hotel was now fully booked-- just over a month before my wedding. I signed a CONTRACT which no where mentioned this policy. According to the contract, my guests had access to the rooms until the end of August. I think they were flat out lying to me and had just forgotten to input the block. The person I booked with has ignored my attempts to contact them to discuss this. I reached out to the Manager of the hotel with no response.Absolutely disgusting way to run a business.
