When Service Turns into a Nightmare ‼️‼️‼️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Having an accident was already stressful(with zero fault) , but what followed made it much worse At the accident site, Larry was present and repeatedly approached me while I was going back and forth to my apartment to collect documents, which felt uncomfortable. While my husband was speaking with the police, Larry repeatedly interrupted and had to be asked to wait. He said he understood our situation and promised to arrange the garage, towing, and rental car completely free and “on him.” He even offered to drop us at the garage himself. We had CAA membership and could have arranged towing to Mississauga ourselves, but because we were overwhelmed and trusted his assurances, we relied on him. Once we reached the garage, we realized Larry was actually an employee there. I understood that he was more focused on business rather than helping us. He was not a random person trying to assist. At no point were we informed about any charges or conditions, even though he knew our insurance was not helping. After returning home and reading the garage reviews, I realized we could be in trouble. But my husband trusted them and believed they would help us. Initially, Larry said the rental car would be free, but later said he could not help due to insurance. A rental was arranged anyway, costing $80 per day, and then communication stopped. For almost two weeks, there were no proper updates. We were repeatedly told a quote would be provided “on Monday” due to hospital visits. Eventually, we received a $12,000 quote, which he admitted seemed arbitrary and said he would reduce to $7,500. Updates kept getting delayed. On day 22, when we expressed frustration, we were told the accident was “our problem, not his.” Another garage had quoted a lower cost and promised to return the car within 12 days, so we felt our time was being wasted. When we visited this garage, the owner said we could pay $2,000 for 22 days of parking to get our car. The way this was communicated was rude and dismissive, and we were never informed about storage fees beforehand. If we had known, we would have moved the car immediately from garage using CAA. We told the owner that Larry wasn’t giving updates, but he ignored it . After this visit, Larry said he could no longer help us. he was not happy that we visited the garage without informing him And told us to deal our ourselves. Another employee later provided a $9,000 quote with no price certainty. They even claimed the headlight was damaged when it was not and refused to listen. So we argued the headlight was intact and there was no damage so on that they said they will check again.Eventually, we paid $6,700, supplying several parts ourselves (door, bumper, fender) due to inflated pricing. After finally receiving the car after 1 MONTH and 20 DAYS, multiple serious issues were found: 1. Wind leak from the passenger door 2. Passenger door controls not working from driver side (wiring issue) 3. Clicking noise from left arm near the tire – There was a clicking sound coming from the left control arm near the tire.Another garage failed the car on safety due to this issue(pic from safety)We brought the car back here and were told it was fixed, but when we went for a second safety check, the car failed again for the same reason. 4.Tire damaged during installation – On the same day we picked up the car, my husband noticed a noise from the tire and immediately returned to the garage. We were told everything was fine. The next day, while driving on the highway to the safety check, the tire suddenly went flat. Another garage inspected the car, showed us the issue, and confirmed that the tire had been damaged during installation and that the left control arm was not installed properly, requiring replacement of both at an additional cost of $600(Tire+left arm) Poor experience. The accident was stressful enough, and the garage made it worse. Cars are piled up, repairs take months, and costs are high. Better go elsewhere for faster, cheaper service. Lady receptionist is good!!
After my son's accident he took his car here They had his car for 6 weeks When he picked it up his rearview camera was hanging thought the tape didn't hold. Turns out they smashed his back window. When he opened the back hatch to reattach the camera his trunk was full of glass yeah they didn't even clean up their own mess. They also some how broke his tail light replaced it with one that did have black out like the other side They never told him about these incidents just cashed the insurance check and let him go with his car and keys. My son is to nice to do this review but I Have No Filter STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP
Sean and truck 9 were amazing when I had a stressful accident. He made sure that I was treated well when I needed it. Tow Truck Drivers are not often reviewed highly today but Sean absolutely deserves it.
My son was involved in a collision and Shawn from tip top came to the scene to tow my car away. He was very good about explaining everything to my son and was pleasant and reassuring.
Was approached by someone while leaving the reporting station after an accident at 6:30 at night in January was told that this is deemed unsafe to drive and he could get us a rental car so my family and my self drove to the body shop and meet him there and said he’ll take care of us and he did got the rental car the damages was about 2.700 $ a month later we get it back and it got painted but the mirror was just in worse condition than the original was told that this was the only one he could find in Ontario paint turned out ok but the door trim still has a massive dent in it they got paid and I still call them to see if they got the trim in yet they tell me that they can’t find it I just feel taken advantage of my car was in good condition and everyday I have to look at this dent and think why did I go there
My car left this shop with 3-4 things wrong with it. Regret choosing this shop, they made me being a victim of a non at fault accident somehow worse. Already in the hole personally $1000+ and continue to need to fix the vehicle for issues that did not even remotely arise pre accident. I also had to go back to them multiple times for fixes with all blame being put on the appraiser. Two stars only because staff adhere to a base level of courtesy in correspondence with the customer. Never allow a rep from this shop to approach you outside of the shop for your own benefit.
Larry helped me get my car all back to mint condition. My car had extensive damage to my passenger side and you can’t even tell anymore ! It looks brand new and the colour match is phenomenal!
