Easy going location with a simple yet deeeelicious menu. I went with a friend and we shared lunch and I was so surprised it was only $11 each. Seriously, what a price with an easy at home vibe. I ordered the Cubano and we shared the Dill pickle fries. So good, and I can say, it was yummy like home. Casual, delish, and affordable! Highly recommend. Cheers, Spicy Jan - Tasty Road Trips
Update... The second visit was Fantastic, They had all the soups we wanted, they were all great. The Cubano Sandwich was fantastic. The service was great as well. This is what I expected. The first visit was just a blip. I will be back again soon. Food gets better with each visit. 5 ⭐ Old Review First time was a disappointment. The soup was great. The staff were not friendly. When we asked for the soup we wanted, we were bluntly told no. After a 10-15 seconds of us looking confused by the blunt answer, they explained that they were out of 2 soups. It was 5:30 on a Tuesday, and you close at 9. I ended up with the Pork Posole Rojo and a half Buffalo Chicken GC. The soup was great, the sandwich was mediocre. My wife got a full smoked Turkey and Provolone without soup as they didn't have what she wanted. Hers was mediocre as well. You would expect a place known for it's soups and sandwiches to always use quality ingredients. Unfortunately, they used lunch meat instead of real turkey. The turkey was even just clumped on, unevenly. The care taken to make the food was not there. I will say they had a bunch of pickup orders right after we got there and I overheard they were short a person, but I would rather wait an extra few minutes to get quality than get poor quality on time.
The service was very quick and the food was very tasty,my friend had a different soup and half sandwich and her's was very good also. Will be back to try more items on the menu.
The food was great and ready on time. The grilled cheese are amazing, we tried 3 different ones and all were worth every penny. The chilli was lovely and hot and had ample meat. The lentil curry soup had a really nice hit of curry. Kale salad was well done too. I like to eat and the chilli, one grilled cheese and half the salad, I was full !
I am always happy with my visits to the Burnt Tongue, and after visiting all locations I can say I'm happy with the consistency in quality and experiences with the staff. The soups are always unique and delicious, and I strongly recommend the kale ceasar salad to go along with it!
