Visited twice so far, enjoyed both the service and banh mi. Service was friendly and quick; the banh mi was excellent. I like that there's a simple menu to pick from, and then you can pick whether you want it as a classic or deluxe. Deluxe is a $1 more and you get extra protein and vegetables (worth it in my opinion). I would recommend the Ultimate Banh Mi and Lemongrass Chicken. Some places' banh mi bun's crust can be thick and hurt when you eat them but I find the buns at McQueen's to be soft with a nice thin crust which was really pleasant to eat.
Favourite lunch spot in Hamilton. Unbelievably fresh and delicious Banh Mi offered at very customer friendly prices. Check it out and you will not be disappointed
I'm lucky enough to work close by so it's an easy, quick stop on my lunch break. Each banh mi packs delicious flavour in a perfectly crunchy bun. So many options on their menu and they are very accommodating of any changes you'd like to make. I also like how they have other food options besides banh mi and hear the coffee is amazing. Great value for the price!
I’m a regular customer and have tried everything they have including their steamed buns, banana leaf wrapped savoury meat cakes and dessert drinks. Thank you for your food and warm welcome when I visit.
Best Banh Mi in Hamilton. If you’re searching for a great sandwich and a good price this place should be added to your list. The Saigon Deluxe comes on fresh bread with fresh ingredients and will fill your appetite for well under 10 dollars. Authentic flavour with spice or no spice. Order ahead if possible as they often can sell out before 2pm (this is a good thing). They bring fresh buns in daily and when they are gone, they’re gone. Enjoy! I’ve been back many times and they are always consistent. Still one of my favourite banh mi’s I’ve had in Canada. Also, be sure to get a Vietnamese coffee if you have never had one. Highly recommend it and served over ice.
Pretty good viet sandwich shop with variety of ingredients and reasonable price in Hamilton. Service is excellent. Highly recommend bbq pork sandwich. The only issue is that they usually ran out of buns around 5 pm even though closing time is at 7 pm. So you just have to be earlier.
Best Bahn Mi I've had in a long while. From Oakville, we pass through Hamilton on our weekly drives. We pass by McQueen's all the time but had no idea. If I lived closer I could have their food everyday! Amazing bread and fillings. Friendly and my daughter says super duper yummy!
Fantastic banhmi! LOVE this place, and love the service I get. It's cheap, delicious, and fresh. Definitely recommend this place.
Great value for what you get: a big beautiful sandwich on a fresh bun filled with fresh ingredients. Make sure that you ask for no cilantro if it doesn't sit well with you. This was a great first time experience with a Banh Mi sandwich and the staff made sure that I ordered the crowd favourite.
