Brings me straight back to the island. The best rice n peas I’ve had. Chicken spot on. Gravy has good flavours. A slight kick from the pepper but sweet. Such a great dish after a cold day outside.
Was really excited to try this place as we just moved down the street, hoping it could become a staple for us. Unfortunately the food was beyond disappointing. No flavour on the rice which they gave way too much of. The chicken was room temperature and the sauce looked like it was just thrown on top.
Absolutely delicious and a hidden gem for authentic Jamaican jerk! Don't sleep on the small menu or that the fact this is a food truck. Huge portions and extremely fresh. The owner was friendly and polite. He has such a genuine pride in his business. It's a very clean truck and had a small but clean table to dine in at, outdoors. Loved that the menus was easy to read on the screen. The wait time was fair (15 mins) for the quality and quantity of food. I wish I had thought to take pictures before we dug in. Had 2 drinks, a jerk chicken poutine, and a "small" jerk chicken for a very reasonable price. The jerk chicken poutine was large enough to make my husband absolutely stuffed... and that's saying something since normally he's still hungry and eats some of my meal. The "small" jerk chicken had a generous portion of chicken, with a delicious thicker sweet and slightly spicy sauce, lots of rice and peas, fresh salad, fried plantains, and a piece of festival (sweet fried bread). It was so good and I still have half my meal leftover. The meats are cooked with charcoal and gives it such a great depth of flavour. Doesn't taste or feel heavy. Things to note, despite what Google says, the only entrance is from Stonechurch. Don't listen to the directions indicating to go through Pritchard. It's a dead end. We will be back. And hopefully can try the pork belly next time!
We enjoyed two chicken festival dinners it was delicious! The chicken, fried plantain and rice and beans were so good ! We will definitely be back . We also enjoyed the music and ate at the table outside ?
Ate here yesterday for the first time after patiently waiting for him to open up for the season. All I have to say is you gotta eat here!!!!! I had the jerk chicken dinner platter and it was absolutely divine. You will not find a better jerk in the area. The man takes good care of his customers, and puts a lot of pride and love into his work of art (the food). Portions are ginormous and look and taste like something you'd expect out of a michelin star restaurant. 10/10 will always recommend. I'll be back again and again and again.. Thank you
Was driving by today and saw the signs and thought we would grab some Jerk for lunch . It was so tasty and even gave us a jerk pork sample. Will be back for sure for some more. Next time want to try that Ginger Lime drink !?????
