Manager didn't put our reservation in the book. Other guests arrived before us and were seated in the middle of the floor by hostess who couldn't find reservation. I had called ahead for a reservation to ensure we weren't in middle of floor because my son has special needs. Manager came out immediately and moved us to a private room and apologized profusely. A little miscommunication on a busy day but they handled it fast and fabulously. Will gladly go back.
Newly renovated with nice decor. It's been a while since I have been to an East Side Mario's, nice to see the quality of food hasn't changed. It was a bit busy when we arrived, but we were having a visit so we were not in a rush and our server was very nice and let us sit and enjoy our visit.
This venue recently went through some design changes. I'd describe the change in decor as somewhat subtle compared to what we're used to from an East Side Mario's. So don't fret, it still is the same place, no dramatic changes. Food is good, nice portions, prices are up there, but not ridiculous. It's a good family restaurant. Our kids enjoy their time there. The music can be a little loud, enough that it's difficult to talk to each other. But not impossible, it's just a noisy restaurant. Would we come back? I think so.
Recommend making a reservation if you are planning on going. There always seems to be at least a 20 minute wait for a table if you are walking in. The Italian wedding soup is delicious! My entrees have been really good and really bad. On one occasion, the fettuccine Alfredo was dry and cold. Other times, the same dish has been very good. Same with the salads. The ceasar salad can be hit and miss - not mixed, too much dressing, no dressing, etc. The waiters have always been friendly and attentive.
Visiting from out of town, tried to make a reservation for later in the evening to ensure a spot but were unable to, luckily we didn't have to wait long once arriving! Food was exceptional, drinks amazing, our waitress was also super lovely! Great spot to hit up!
