Colin and Andrew arrived about two hours after I called in. They identified the problem, found some additional issues, and had everything resolved and were out the door in about 30 minutes. Fantastic service.
Plumbers were courteous and friendly. They appeared to be forced into charging for a job that they did not have a code for. So for 15 minutes they charged over $300. Shame on me for not sending them away.
Really disappointed with this location of this company. Called them to fix a leak at my property. First plumber came and told me he was positive it was coming from the toilet, which just needed to be resealed. He resealed it but a day later, still leaking. Called them to come back, this time they said the leak was due to worn piping that needed to be changed. They changed it but a day later, still leaking. I asked them to come back a third time and they told me the leak was coming from somewhere else and that more work would need to be done. Thank goodness I didn’t give them a third chance because I asked another plumber to come have a look and he fixed in on the first visit. After three visits of misdiagnosing the issue, doing necessary work, and sending invoices that did not reflect the actual time spent, you can only conclude this is not an honest company who care about their customers. Only call them if you want your plumbing issues to go unresolved and you want your property to get damaged.
The quote given was very high. I was charged over $80 for the quote. The quote was high probably because I am a senior citizen!! I got the job done by another company - at half the price and this company did not charge a penny for the quote. This other company included a laundry box and the job was done in about two and a half hours. This other company was recommended by Home Depot's website. Always get 3 quotes. Remember, John the plumber has to charge a lot to cover advertising!! They do so, so when one is looking for a plumber,their company pops up. Watch CBC and CTV where they show how seniors get ripped off by such companies. Stay away from this company!! To John the plumber company: STOP calling me. I will Not change my review.
Called John the plumber for a bath faucet leak at 5 pm, was scheduled next day but within 45 minutes got a called and they offer to come the same day. The plumber came saw the problem explained what needs to be done and the price. We agreed and he performed the job and it was completed and there is no leak. If you need a plumber I would recommend John the Plumber.
I would definitely use John The Plumber in the future. My plumbers were named Colin and Andrew. They came when told, called before they arrived. I discussed the problem we were experiencing and they got to work , giving me an estimate of the job cost. They worked quickly and neatly. When completed, they explained what they had done to repair the toilet. Colin was a good communicated and at the end he shook my hand and said goodbye. A very polite gentleman.
I will likely never use John the plumber again. I had asked for a quote for installation of a kitchen faucet over the phone and was told that it would have to be given in person, with a $40 fee to give the quote. The service person walked in the door, and before he saw the kitchen he gave me a quote of $350 for installation. I was supplying the faucet, lines, and all installation hardware. The installer offered a $50 discount, so ‘only’ $300. This is a 20 minute job, so John the plumber wanted to charge me $1,050 an hour. If they had given me an indication of the range of the quote over the phone, as I had asked, I obviously never would have had their plumber come out. I’ve used John before, and was very happy. I can’t imagine using them again.
