Andrew was prompt, informative, and professional. We were extremely happy with the service. Colin joined later on in the job and was equally as impressive. The work was phenomenal and they left the job site very clean. A bonus note, both guys were very kind to my 4 year old who was having a great time bringing them stickers for a job well done. I will use John the Plumber again and specifically be requesting Andrew. Thanks!

I had a small leak coming from a recent toilet install. I was quoted $299 for the repair with a 2-year warranty. Before starting, I overheard one technician question the other about the price he had given in a perplexed tone, which was the first red flag. Moments later, they informed me they had cracked and broken the toilet tank while tightening the bolts and told it would need to be replaced. Astonishingly, they still asked the full $299 payment, effectively charging me for not only not fixing the leak, but also breaking my toilet. I do not recommend.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! VERY INFLATED PRICING. John the Plumber’s business practices are deeply troubling! I contacted them because of a leak in my main stack. I was told upfront that there would be a $79 + HST consultation fee, after which the technician would provide a quote. When the technician arrived, he quoted me ~$1,128 just to clear a clogged sewer line. On top of that, he also gave me a separate quote of nearly ~$5,000 to replace an old U-trap. At the time, I hadn’t checked typical prices, so I felt pressured to proceed. Later, when I reached out to family friends and others in the trades, I learned that a standard sewer line cleaning usually runs around $200–$300. In other words, I was charged nearly three times the going rate. The work itself was done, but the pricing left me feeling taken advantage of. Their strategy seems to be quoting outrageously high numbers, then relying on customers being uninformed or desperate during a plumbing emergency. Plumbing issues are stressful enough without worrying about being overcharged. If I hadn’t asked around afterwards, I never would have known how inflated these numbers really were. I will never use this company again, and I strongly caution others to get multiple quotes before agreeing to their services.

Called due to a clogged drain that backed up everything in the house. Everyone in the company we spoke to was very nice and got someone out first thing the next morning. Colin came and provided us with a video after snaking the clog which was nice. Unfortunately within three days it happened again. So I called and was informed that there isn't a warranty on clogs and I'd have to pay again. I said no thank you, I paid for a service 72 hours ago and obviously that service was not completed fully causing this to happen again right away. I understand that there was an issue with the pipes (that has been rectified by my contractor this week) but from a customer service standpoint, this is terrible. Considering the very short timeframe it is possible that something got missed in the initial snaking. Not saying he did a bad job at all (he was great by all accounts) but there could have been god knows what in these 75 year old pipes that maybe hid, who knows. The point remains that we paid to have a drain cleared and it was not fully cleared if everything in the house backed up within three days. Again everyone we dealt with was very kind and personable and did the job quickly, we're just very disappointed by this policy.

We had a clogged kitchen sink that turned out to be even more clogged further inside! The scheduling was simple and friendly, and Andrew arrived promptly the same day, quoted our varying levels of options, and finished cleanly and promptly. I would call them again.

I could not be happier with the service from John the Plumber! I’ve recently become a caregiver full time for my dad and it’s my first time running a whole house, of course the toilet breaks and I attempted a diy fix with YouTube but was wildly unsuccessful.? This was my first time calling a plumber and I was so stressed out! I called yesterday afternoon, the worker that answered my call was so friendly and helpful. The next morning by 9:30 Andrew came to the house, he was friendly and worked fast as heck! He told me the price before starting any work so there was no surprises, and was calm around my crazy dogs haha. 11/10! Thanks guys! :)

Connor and Josh were amazing. We had a major clog in our main sewage line and were facing a huge potentially costly replacement. They were very professional and took our concerns to heart. They were successful in chewing away the roots that grew in our pipe with their equipment and even provided me with a copy of the video of the procedure. Overall an extremely pleasant crew and experience. Thank you! ?
