Horrible customer service!!! I would give them a zero if there was an option. Came on a long weekend and didnt realized that my 1 month membership had expired once the girl scanned me in. She mentioned it had expire 24 hours prior and that I needed to pay $20 to get in.I thought she used really poor judgement and told me to pay up otherwise leave! Extremely rude! Other women were waiting to come in so I just stepped ahead and left.My God it had only expired 1 day prior and why the hell would I have gotten ready to come in on a long weekend to work out if I knew my membership had expired? What happened to common courtesy?! This employee had no brain cells and told me she was just following protocol. Such poor judgement. I paid $90 for a month membership because Im here visiting family from Vancouver and I can say that Hamilton ppl need to just f chill. Next summer Im here visiting my family, Ill take my business elsewhere. Golds gym it is. BTW- I called the GoodLife on Upper James and explained what happened and the gentlemen over the phone had no problem allowing me to come in. He even said it was very bad taste for the company for what the girl did. Been coming here very summer and never had a record of coming in with an expired pass. Geez, its just the f gym. Back then these guys were hungry for business and offering contracts with incentives to get business. They just lost mine.
I just called for info and said I would call back when Im ready within the whole month of July Ive had everyone from this gym Lindsay , Michelle etc all keep calling my phone non stop every single day even though I tell them Im still thinking about it. I literally blocked this gym from calling me cause enough is enough!!! Its extremely annoying as hell. I get it you want commission but harassing people to join will push them away further. You guys are worse than telemarketers. I joined afterwards and cancelled same day it just wasnt for me. I couldnt get into the vibes. I wanted the 3 day trial but I felt pressured into actually joining. After cancelling they call my phone next day thats when I blocked them. I dont want their bag or shirt either. I use my own Adidas bag. Dont need to advertise GoodLife gym carrying your products...Im losing weight on my own by eating right and walking my dogs its more private and its cheaper.
I love this gym! I have tried to get on track with my health and fitness for years and this is the first gym where I have felt comfortable enough to continue to come back. With it being a smaller gym and womens only, there is a sense of community. The staff and members are kind and always helpful. It is wonderful to not feel judged and everybody accepts that everyone is at a different place in their journey. The staff greets with a smile and invests in you. I have been a member since April 2017, working out with a trainer since July 2017, and it has changed my life in the most amazing way. Thank you, Good Life!

Nice gym. Women only. The staff is very nice and welcoming! It is a bit small, but good. It has a sauna, tanning and massage chairs, tvs to watch while working out.
