Back to being blacklisted! Took a long break from this place after several bad orders. Came back a year later and recently had 3 excellent orders in a row except for tonight when we received half cooked chicken balls and abysmal noodles, that were so dry you could barely swallow the food. Returned our order to the restaurant and they didn’t own up to their failure to cook it thoroughly / acted surprised when shown the pale sad food. You Know you didn’t cook it properly. And it definitely wasn’t worth $45!
The Shanghai noodles are my go-to every time I visit. The portion size is huge so I usually get a few meals out of it, and they don’t skimp on the shrimp, beef, or chicken—it’s packed with flavour. Service is always quick, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful.
There is a reason why I drive 20 minutes to Bo Chin in Burlington (Upper Middle and Brant St.). Overall the food at dragon island is not very good. Literally live 3 minutes away, was there to pick up my food on time but had to wait an extra 5 minutes which was okay as the expectation was the food would be hot. Not so much. Few times a year I try to support this local restaurant but each time it is usually disappointing. I understand opinions are personal and others may not feel as I do.
10 for 10. That's had 10 times . Hands down best Chinese food around if you like hot, fresh, and flavourful. Picked up or Uberd. Not to mention I stopped buying Tupperware. Thank you Dragon Island. ?
Never again. Got charged for 5 dishes. I got 4. I even asked the guy at the front if he's sure it's all here because I ordered and paid for 5 and there were only 4 containers. He said they put in 1. He lied. The cheese Rangoon wasn't bad. The house special fried fried and house special lo mean were anything but special. Lacked any flavour whatsoever. Not ordering from here again.
Food a bit bland and a bit pricey for size of portions. Ordered bbq pork fried rice and there was absolutely no pork in it. Not worth returning to get the order right but will instead order from somewhere else next time, since they can't even take the time to double check the order.
Great local place for some traditional Chinese take out. When we're undecided on what to have this place is a quick phone call away. Haven't been disappointed yet with the food and service.
