The food was good; it was a falafel combo and a shawarma combo. The grocery store is well-organized and sells halal products. I give it a 9 out of 10.
Ordered here on Friday and for $38 we’re overly disappointed. Got the Mediterranean bowl and omg…. How can someone charge $19 for a bowl with a 1/3cup of white rice, 2 thinly sliced tomatoes, dried beef that was burnt, some shredded lettuce and cabbage. The recyclable bowel wasn’t even filled to the lower lip of the bowl. Contemplated writing the review and figured lower Stoney creek residents should know.
The people the own the store is very very rude. Went to use the bathroom and there was a lady in it and wait when I went to go into the bathroom the man that own the store tried to tell me it’s broken and would not allow me to use it and was very very rude. I would never ever go into that place ever again. Don’t don’t don’t use this place. I told him that I was sick and couldn’t use a outhouse and he told me that I was a liar
We had döner here, which was very delicious, authentic, and fresh. They also have really tasty bread, which we both ate and bought. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making you feel like you're in Turkey. They even gave us free baklava! In the store, you can find everything you need to make Turkish food. We bought börek and sucuk, and their quality was excellent. The only thing was that the music was Latin, whereas I would have preferred to hear Turkish or Azerbaijani music while eating. But overall, even though it's far from me, I will definitely go back again.
Had craving for a fresh cheeseburger so went to Bosporus market as I live in Stoney Creek village. This place used to be my doctor’s office ten years ago! The burger was so juicy it was a 3 napkin job. Just like I remembered from a burger place on Victoria park in Toronto back in the 1970s. Only place I’ll be going for a burger from now on. Also looking forward to trying other items from the menu as we enjoy Mediterranean food.
Great place. Just went for a Cheeseburger and fries and were the best in the area I've had easily. Really filling at the sauce was money. Will definitely go back to try more traditional Turkish dishes as well. The market seems solid as well.
Congrats for opening, nice to have a Turkish and mediterranean store in Stoney Creek neighborhood, I found my favorite Turkish tea, coffee, and delights in great prices, staff are super nice and welcoming. I’m happy to shop from Bosphorus and so will you. Support locals.
