Owner is a nightmare to deal with. Wasted time and money on him for an issue with my charging port that literally any other technician could have fixed for cheaper. Very frustrating and unprofessional.

Needed a screen repair on my Mac. He made me pay $430 up front. Was made countless promises that the repair would be done within two weeks each time I'd visit. Ended up taking over 6 months to get the repair done. Avoid at all costs.

I came here on the 15th of September to get my laptop repaired after I damaged it in a fall. My laptop wouldn't turn on, it could receive a charge but would not activate no matter what I did. When I arrived I was told that the laptop could be repaired, and that I would only need to wait for the parts to come in. The amount I was told was 425.00, which is a lot to me as I am a college student, however my program is very heavy and a laptop is mandatory for the labs, so I figured that 425.00 is reasonable given that is is both cheaper than a new laptop, and would save me the hassle of re-downloading all of the programs I need for school. This now brings us to 24th of September, over a week after I had left my laptop with him, now returned still broken. This was pretty awful news but I figured that I would at least be able to use the money from the refund, as well as some of my savings to get a new laptop in time for the following school week. Now the refund. I was told upon getting my laptop back that he did not have the money in his account in order to process the refund, but that I would have it by the next day, and that if I did not get it on the Thursday, that I can come in on Monday for it. Alright, I guess. Thursday rolls around and I get nothing... So be it, I will come in the next week to get it, specifically Tuesday, due to my schedule being full on Monday. So I arrive on Tuesday 30th of September, to which I am told that I will get the refund that night, if not the next day. Which then brings us to today, where I finally have received my refund well past when I was initially promised it. Throughout all of this I was trying my best to be understanding an communicative, but I would frequently get sent to voicemail when I would call for updates on my laptop, and later on my refund, which only added to the already mounting frustration I was feeling, when all of this could have been avoided through just communication and giving me a proper ETA on my refund. All in all this was an awful few weeks due to this entire situation, I understand that being a business owner is difficult, and the owner was having his own financial struggles, however the length of time it took for this refund to finally get processed is ridiculous, especially given the fact that he had known about it for little over a week, couple that with the lack of communication and this is a business I cannot see myself returning to for technology repairs. If the owner is able to get on top of things then I'm sure its a great option as its very close to McMaster, but given what I've experienced I would not feel confident going to this place for any repairs.

Insisted on full payment (called me three times in one dayto make sure I sent the funds by Etransfer, wouldn't take credit card red flag no 1) for a screen repair then proceeded to doge me for two months.. I feel bad writing this because Mikey seems nice and it's clear the business is struggling but the lack of communication avoiding my calls and ignoring my voicemails is beyond unacceptable. I wasted too much of my time and money going back and forth because he "bought the wrong screen" or when he decided to clean without being asked he disconnected a cable so it didn't work at all and I had to bring it back in for him to reconnect it. Could not give me a refund right away because he didn't have the money.. he kept telling me the part was coming on X date and just kept moving that date.. no tracking information available.. I think he just kept looking for a better deal.. which like fine but then don't say for sure it'll be on X date and also don't insist on full payment prior to purchasing anything.. terrible business practices.

I needed my docking station to be fixed since my pets chewed on a cord. It was the cord that connected the station and the computer itself. He could barely explain anything. I initially thought that opening it up would be free since I double asked him. He then later said that it would cost 210 to fix the cord and 20 for just opening the lid for like 5 seconds… I was charged unfairly for something so not worth a single cent. He charged me like for a diagnostic.

Very good customer service. A while ago, I wanted to buy a new charger for my laptop because my old one was not working anymore. Instead, the shop owner identified immediately that it was just a cablebreak, and rather than selling me an expensive charger he sold me the cable, which was quite cheap. A little while later, the cable broke. I went back there to get a new one. The shop owner explained to me how to prevent this from happening and gave me a new cable. When I wanted to pay him for it, he refused the money. The shop owner has a good heart, and genuinely wishes to help and fix your computer problems. Edit: Last week visited again, with a problem with the bluetooth on my laptop. I had already done troubleshooting together with a representative from MSI (brand of my laptop), and ultimately we found that the problem was not with software, but hardware. So I bought the part online, and tried to have it installed at PC Repair Center. I told the owner this, but he would not listen and temporarily fixed the issue through software. I told him that this would only work for a day or two because I had done it before myself, but then he got angry at me. In the end he did not want to install the part for me and told me 'good day', suggesting I should leave. My bluetooth still does not work, so I will get the part installed elsewhere. Changed review from 5 to 2 stars. Edit 2: had a difficult part on my phone repaired here. Could not have done it myself, and would have been off more expensive elsewhere. Increased average rating to 4 stars!

This is my first google review ever after years of being a selfish consumer of others' experiences. I felt obligated to provide a review given my recent experience with PC Repair Center. I brought my MacBook Pro to a competitor who did some diagnostics, replaced the battery but then later informed me that my hard drive needed to be replaced as well (without any data recovery). Since this competitor did not have any parts in store and I needed my laptop back ASAP (it had already been 5 days in his possession) he suggested that I bring it to Mikey at the PC Repair Center (a competitor) for a solution. Mikey was able to properly diagnose the problem and fix it without losing my data or having to purchase a new hard drive, all in less than 24 hours. He was honest, transparent and I am grateful for his help. Apparently it's pretty common that people in my situation, who go to a competitor who is unable to properly fix the problem and may undergo unnecessary repairs to come to him for a second opinion. I wish I had gone to PC Repair Center first. In the future, I will not hesitate to go back to this location or his other location for any future computer repair needs.
