I bought a pecan pie, but when I opened it at home, I realized it was too burnt. Since the next day was Thanksgiving, I couldn’t go back to exchange it. It probably would have been delicious if the burnt flavor hadn’t been so strong. I really hope to try a properly made pecan pie.
A little slice of Paris right in the heart of the city. This charming French café delights with the aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the gentle hum of conversation. The croissants were buttery perfection, the coffee rich and smooth, and every plate looked like it belonged in a postcard from France. A truly delightful spot for anyone who loves the art of slow, beautiful afternoon"
We went and got 2 almond croissants and they were quite good. However, I also picked up a baguette and it was STALE. Completely unacceptable and this bakery should be ashamed to be selling this obviously day old stock.
I ordered a pink heart Lambeth-styled cake and it turned out absolutely incredible! Additionally, I ordered some additional treats (decadent gluten free brownies, sausage rolls) that were prepped and nicely packaged when I came to get my order. The team was organized, kind and the price was great.
We went there this morning and had a amazing experience. The quiche was was outstanding and wonderful Coffee. All Homemades and Cookies. A must when in Ancaster
How the mighty have fallen! This place USED TO be amazing! I would drive 20 minutes out of my way for the freshest croissants and baked goods this side of the Seine, but they won’t get another dime out of me. Dropped by this past Thursday, July 13, 2023 and bought a bag of croissants that were so stale we could have use them for croutons. Their Carrot Cake used to be absolutely heavenly. Now it’s just a flavourless brick garnished with sugary sweet icing. It’s so sad when bad things happen to good pastries. What used to be uniquely home baked and fresh is now just off the shelf ordinary. Sorry Caniche. This was my last visit.
Fantastic and exactly what i was looking for. Authentic French croissants with the proper folding of butter. Rich and flaky like a true croissant should be. Patio in the back, strong wifi, plenty of parking and a diverse selection of baked goods that you simply need to stock up or repeatedly come back. Coffee by Propeller and Balzacs. Baking done on site and done right. No inside dining at the time of this review but patio is sunny and peaceful. NOTE: They close at 2pm! :'(
