Love this park. It is beautiful and majority of the dog owners are friendly. It's an amazing park to walk through in the spring and fall. There always seems to be something to do their on the weekend in the summer
Sign says you will be fined $5000 if you bring your dog to the park during any festivals. Some of the reviews say you can bring your dog. One says you can bring your small dog to the festivals. I'm from out of town and just wanted to walk and throw the ball with my dog but thought I would be fined so I had to walk all the way back to my car. So which is it? Can you or can't you have a dog in the park?
I feel so fortunate to have such a beautiful park so close to home! I run an after-school program for inner city youth and we go here at least once a week when the weather breaks! Loads of trees, amazing BRAND NEW playground and a splash pad for those super hot days! The only real downside is that there aren't more benches or picnic tables under the trees.
The gardens are beautiful and relaxing...great place for meditation, clearing you mind or just getting out of the house. Going to see a concert or performance in the bandshell?? Looking for a place to have a festival? Lots of room great sound.
Over 87 acres to explore. This park is one of Hamilton's oldest. The orginal bands he'll still stands. A magnificent fountain with pathways down the park is a well known spot to stop at. There are new greenhouses being constructed. Great play area for the little ones and a Museum is on site. Stroll through the gardens and enjoy all this park has to offer.
