I’ve been going to star nails for over 15 years. I don’t get my nails done often but when I do, I will always come back to star nails. The owners are the absolute best. So kind so friendly and so great at their art.
I always love going to Star Nails and having Donna and Tommy welcome me. I had gone through a time where nails weren't a priority and life went on. When things improved and some self care was attainable again I was surprised when I made my appointment that Donna remembered me at all. She did! Not only does it show what smart strong business owner she is but what a caring person she is. It may sound hoakie but it made a difference in my day for sure. Most recently I married my partner Jeremy. My nails looked amazing. It only added to the day for me to be able to take a nice picture of our rings. If you can afford to treat yourself......treat yourself here!
The name is perfect as they are the "STARS" of concession St this is their 25th year and there is only one other business operating on Concesssion St that was there when they opened. I am a male senior and have been coming here for Approx 15 years. I use both Tommie and Donna (there is no difference).. I call her " DR. DONNA " because on top of my pedicure Donna gives me fre meaningful medical advise
I'm not coming back after the prices were. They charged us $180 for a $55 dollar pedicure combo, my aunt only added a butterfly for her nails and the flower on her toes was supposedly "free" for her birthday. I got acrylics which was $40 I got charged with the bow on my ring finger even though it was the original design. She did the bow so messy it was like she didn't even try. Watch out for prices because they will be so sweet and nice just to make u add stuff which they will charge you for. They scammed my uncles bank account forsure. If your gonna be a nail artist do it right or better. The nails are so bad quality. I was shaving my arms and the razor hit the nail not even hard and it left a dent in it. Never coming back. And they dont accept any credit cards. RIDICULOUS.
I keep forgetting to give a 5 star review every time I go in, Tommy and Donna are the best! Both are so sweet and so good at what they do! (I'll add a photo next time I go) I'm always open to different styles and Donna and I came up with an idea I call the "reverse French manicure" where the tips of my nails are black, not white and I LOVE IT! It's such a friendly place and I refuse to go anywhere else but them ? Edit for the photo: I got cat eye nails done this time and they're BEAUTIFUL
Had manicure and pedicure,$50 Unfortunately not happy with the result Cuticle wasn’t removed. The very next day it’s all dry and looked like I never had a manicure a day before Pedicure , had to re-clean up my heels once I got home. The place looks clean Won’t be back. Thank you , I have booked myself somewhere else
