To start, the food is as Sicilian as you can get away with in Canada, and is done perfectly. Portion sizes as fantastic for the cost. The owner is a truly welcoming man and even let me take the food on the honour system be cause the debit terminal was not working. Went back and paid the next day and he seemed genuinely surprised I was back, meaning he was completely willing to give that good away for free, just so my family would have a good meal. Grade A staff
I loved this place. I tried to stop in and was told i couldn't buy food. Apparently the woman working was too busy smoking. And the owner wants to make more money. I am *NOT* paying delivery charges on a single sammich for a 3 minute walk. Such a stupid stupid move.Edit to add: i was super pumped when I read that they were re opening the doors to walk in customers! I went in mid week ordered and then got to listen to how much Carmen loves our neighbourhood!! Wellies and crackheads are all that live around his store! Well thanks goof! I will not be back and i will tell all of our neighbours how highly you think of us!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Had the chicken parmesan; roasted potatoes; penne pasta and garden salad... and all of it was very good.
This place is a great new place. Very reasonably priced, huge portions and best of all some delightfully authentic Italian food just like a nonna used to make.
Huge portions, friendly people, delicious food, varied menu, reasonable prices, and the list continues. They're absolutely excellent in all aspects if you like Italian food, and the prices for their veal dishes can't be beat for the quality in the city. It's take out only, but it's quick service and there's some stools inside. Their hours are a bit weird also, but they're open often enough for dinner and lunch hours. I'd absolutely recommend visiting!
