I decided to give a chicken sandwich a try again after the “found rotten chickens in warehouse" controversy…and it ended up giving me the worse stomach pains, having to get up at crack of dawn to go the bathroom which extreme stomach pain, and constant diarrhea for 2 days, the food unfortunately is not the same quality as before covid, and it shows in the way your body processes. Unless you want diarrhea and stomach pain all night I recommend not buying from Popeyes, which hurts me to say..
The lady with a hijab on the cash register was stingy. Feels like she doesn't wanna answer questions about the menu. Also feels like she was a bit judgmental towards a fellow immigrant but when she faced white customers she suddenly turned sweet and accomodating. ??
Just now I bought 12 pieces of chicken service was so poor she just gave mostly leg pieces and I asked for a small extra empty box she refused And gave only 2 tissue papers Had a very bad experience with the service
I buy from here every week when ever I order 4 pieces plater sometimes they give fries in a separate box sometimes in a same box. But I wonder what is the brand standard? When i asked the cashier today she was very rude, and she told me “it depends on who ever working and how they like to do the packaging. Packaging differences doesn’t matter” Her name starts with F, I told her that there should be a brand standard and they all should follow the same procedure. Although she never greets any customer and extremely rude when i tried to understand why different packaging every time. It just very upsetting!
The chicken is always juicy, hot and fresh tasting. The staff are always friendly and nice. I usually get my order pretty fast and don’t have to wait too long. I like this location.
Worst food ever tried. Chicken was raw. I tried to chew it for a few minutes and in the end I had to spit it out. I went to the counter and showed it to the giy thst was working there, and I asked him for an explanation and He literally said, “it’s because the chicken is old” Unbelievable, I won’t ever try this place again.
Update: 2 years later and this Popeyes is just the worst. How do they find such miserable workers? And the food - cold fries and very dry boneless wings. Yuck Popeyes is, in my opinion, by far the most random fast food place. You never know what you're going to get. You may get really good chicken and fresh hot fries. But more often than not they'll let you down. It just seems as though the staff doesn't care what they serve you. Or how poorly they treat people who have entrusted them with providing a decent meal. I was going to try Church's now that they're trying a Canadian comeback. But with too many poor reviews I decided to stick with Popeyes. Bad decision. Of all the bad Popeye's experiences I've had in Canada this was the worst location. Not only did it take far too long to get the food but it was terrible. And not in the usual Popeyes way. The chicken nuggets were way overcooked. I mean way!! You could break a tooth on these charred remains. And they tasted terrible. Yuck. Right in the garbage. The 10 fries that came with them weren't bad at all. But seriously, why were the fries a quarter the size of a usual order? How many tries are you supposed to give the same place? I'm in the double digits. As bad as KFC is, at least they're consistent. I'd rather know what I'm in for. But I think Popeyes has now converted me to be a Mary Brown's customer. They've yet to let me down.
