This is our favourite restaurant in the Hamilton area and it's not even close. It's as consistent as a restaurant as I've ever been to. They just don't miss. Every meal, every time is a hit. Meals come sizzling on a cast iron skillet. Just amazing. If you have not been, try it! You could not possibly be disappointed. Highly recommended!
Enjoyed a lovely Wednesday evening with 2 friends. The food was fresh and delicious, and the server was very kind and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
My family dined here last night for a birthday dinner and we had the dinner for 4 special. It came with four soups, spring rolls and four dishes that we chose (not set dishes). All dishes were fresh and delicious. Our server was attentive and engaging, and made the experience memorable. We’ll be back again for sure. ?
We ordered for the first time from banana leaf and sadly it will be our last. Every dish we ordered was beyond BLAND! The breaded chicken was all bread and soggy with little to no meat inside. The noodle dish we ordered was bland and had little to no flavour in it. The beef and vegetables we had barely any beef in it. The ‘ fried rice’ was not fried at all and just had white rice with a mix of what seemed like frozen vegetables with no flavour. Not to mention the shrimp wontons tasted and smelled foul and were inedible! We ended up throwing out this meal and ordering pizza. 120.00 down the drain. I only looked at good reviews before ordering this which was a mistake because if you read the bad ones I definitely can agree and had a similar experience. Don’t waste your time and money here!
Even a 1 star is too high for this place. The food was tasteless and very oily : the dumplings were only half cooked, the fried rice barely had any rice, and the chicken was undercooked as well. The service was absolutely horrendous - the waiter was extremely rude, even spoke rudely to my 1 year old baby!!!!! Worst $100 I've ever spent on a meal!!! Wouldn't even eat here if the food was free.
It was my first experience visiting this place and I must say the food was fantastic along with the service. Absolutely a must visit. I really appreciated the kindness of the person who served us today My friend and I were discussing about the menu and I prefer halal options (which I knew before coming this place doesn’t offer) but the server came to us without even asking and told us that they didn’t offer halal options. Coming from a person who prefers halal I appreciated his efforts and making it clear of what they offer.
Ordered a chilli chicken for takeout, I got served a vegetable stew. I called to let them know, the person I talked to (always at the front desk) said “come to restaurant” and cut the phone on me. When I brought the food to the restaurant, he rudely said to wait for the chef who then came over and aggressively shoved his hands into the vegetable stew to pull out one piece of chicken and say, you took this home so we don’t know if this is true. Sad to see customers treated in such a deplorable and insulting manner. Won’t be coming here again.
