I went with my dad and it was the best sushi I have ever had in my life, the price was really reasonable, every bite was bursting with flavour, the appetizers are also very good! I had the karaage chicken and it was so juicy.i have been here 2 times and every time exceeded my expectations!10/10 would 100% recommend
Ordered sushi for the first time here today - got the ‘veggie delux crispy roll’ - it was seriously FANTASTIC. If you are a vegetarian.. this is worth your time and money to order ;)
I got the Salmon Poké bowl and Original Bubble Tea with tapioca. It was filling and overall delicious. However, I decided to try this place for lunch because it is across the campus but because i’m not a Mcmaster student (I’m a Mohawk Pharmacy student) they don’t apply discounts for Mohawk which isn’t fair considering I am still a student. I find that discriminatory and unfair even with student ID. Overall, the staff and the food was great.
I didn't read these reviews but I saw it had a mid star rating so I was worried but the food here was amazing. We ordered the Sakura platter and every single item was great! I would definitely go back here!
After receiving a great looking menu flyer, we opted to try Sushi Shop, excited that a new place with a great looking menu had opened relatively close by. I placed an online order at 435, with an initial pickup time of 530. This was changed when I placed the order to 550. Fine. When I arrived, I was told it would be 10-15 minutes. Over half an hour later, my order was ready, but incomplete. I was told three different values of time for the remainder to be completed. All were wrong. I left jovially as the order at least looked good, but there were red flags. My bubble tea had bee sitting on the counter for over 30 minutes -- it was watered down from the melted ice when I finally drank it. The miso soup had to be reheated. The sushi was okay -- the fish was definitely fresh and prepared well, but the rice was all wrong and had little to no flavour. 3 stars is being generous -- this place has only been open for 3 weeks, so I understand growing pains. At least be apologetic -- don't tell me that to have my food ready on time, I should order 2 hours in advance. This isn't a Michelin Star restaurant. It's a middling chain. I will try it again in a few months in hopes of improvement, but I'm not holding my breath.
Amazing sushi with a more than fair price made by the friendliest staff. Great experience every visit I make, in a good location with a very clean and well organized shop.
