A record store worth supporting, all of the employees are both passionate and knowledgeable… the inventory is affordable, they have good common records and more obscure collectable titles… they do a lot with the space including regularly hosting events. Most of the other record stores in town don't do as well to foster community, so i would consider myself a regular now :)
Great store, owner is a super nice guy. Good variety and turnover in the used section and fair prices. I've done a few special orders through them as well and they make it pretty easy. The vibes are good man.
I have the distinct honour of being not just a customer of Into The Abyss, but also the owner of a neighbouring business. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Into The Abyss being a part of the Hamilton music community. They are a damned good spot for picking up not just records (new and used) but also picking up NEW LOCAL BANDS as they perform there! Brad knows what the scene needs and has his finger on the pulse of local bands, especially newer bands needing a venue and getting their names out. I wish the entire staff there nothing but the best and all of the success possible for Into The Abyss.
Great atmosphere. You can tell the guy running the shop loves this industry. Selection could be a bit bettertho, but still great to flip through! Will be coming back to check out again.
Great spot! Landed a gift card to this gem of a place for my birthday and just spent nearly 3 hours flipping through some epic vinyl finds. The "listening" corner is an amazing setup and has such a retro vibe, it's just missing some wood paneling, haha! Two dudes running the place are doing a great job! Knowledgeable and friendly. Can't wait to hear about some upcoming live events and releases. Keep up the hard and great work. Will definitely be back.
Into the Abyss is a great find for new and used records galore, great vintage and upcycled wears, art. The space also hosts some awesome live music events, with a pay what you can and respect the space policy. The latest being Record Store Day (rsd). The shop was full with great reception And awesome energy and local music culture vibes. Totally worth a visit!
