It's a pretty small museum, so don't come expecting anything too grand. Given that, though, it's well managed and maintained, and offers a glimpse into Hamilton history. We came for the steamer day, and my preschooler got a kick out of riding the miniature train.
I had my wedding here this past weekend, it was absolutely amazing! The venue turned out beautifully, and the staff were all so helpful when we needed assistance/questions. Very cool spot to take the family too!
This National Historic Site of Canada built in 1860 is a very unique part of Hamilton's history with connections to Nikola Tesla and his alternating current and and electric vehicle related technologies. A nice place for events like the Nikola Tesla Electric City Festival where the famous inventor's various inventions are showcased.
I was really impressed with the place and wish I had gone their 40-50 years ago!!! It was totally fascinating! Our tour guide was awesome, and her knowledge was astounding. They tailor their talks to the age-group they are speaking to, but certainly make it come alive. There are hands-on teaching tools that really help you understand both the history and mechanization before you go into rest of the museum. My kids are grown up now, but I can't wait to take them there! Just amazing!
Amazing location. Came here for a friend's wedding and everywhere you turn is a photo opportunity. Very unique spaces, and the staff are super helpful.
