My partner and I toured Knollwood as a potential wedding venue. Although we ended up booking elsewhere, there was lots to love here. Pros: - Beautiful reception hall with large windows and rustic wooden accents, as well as a working stone fireplace - Nice inclusions, including the cross-back wooden chairs and twinkling lights - On-site ceremony spot with mature trees and a creek behind the altar - Access to an outdoor porch space - Andie who led the tour was great. Professional, friendly, and able to answer all of our questions. She clearly laid out what weddings look like at the site and what we could expect from them. Cons: - This is essentially a venue-only rental; you have to arrange separate vendors for catering, linens, dish ware, etc. They do provide bartenders and drink service in-house. Overall, a lovely spot for a wedding if you are happy finding external vendors.
Knollwood new course is a great course. Very good mix of challenging holes that will challenge low to high handicap players. The course is in great condition and the greens are fast and tricky to read. The staff are friendly and carts are clean and in good condition. I thoroughly enjoyed my round and highly recommend this course.
Old & New should both be considered hidden gems of the region. The only knock I have is that due to length you can overpower the course, but it's still a terrific round for the price. Reminds me of forest courses in cottage country.
We had our wedding at Knollwood Golf Course and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly flexible and accommodating, allowing us to tailor the day to our vision. Andie and Nadia were absolutely fantastic to work with. They were kind, responsive, and a joy to be around throughout the entire process. Andie went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. She anticipated every detail — from ensuring my grandparents had a chair during cocktail hour, arranging a golf cart lift between the cocktail hour and reception, and making sure the setup was perfect. Her calm and thoughtful presence made a huge difference on the day. The rest of the staff at Knollwood were also incredibly lovely and welcoming. They helped create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and made the experience great not just for us, but for all of our guests. We’re so grateful to the team at Knollwood for helping create such a beautiful and memorable celebration. Highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a stunning, flexible, and supportive wedding location!
Fair price course is in good condition. Too many force layups and doglegs for me personally. Playing the blue tees I was blocked out on multiple tee shots which wasn’t great. An arborist would be beneficial on some holes. Overall I would recommend this course for beginners or shorter hitters.
I called to book a morning T time 07/10/24 spoke to a young lady at the old course at 850am. Due to my husbands disability I need to drive the golf cart for him but he is the only player. When advised by the attendant we would have to pay an additional $21 I asked to speak with a manager. I also asked the young lady her name - she refused to identify herself and then hung up on me. BEWARE of unprofessional employees at this course -(which btw we have played dozens of times w/o incidence) I can’t reach the GM Nadia who btw is lovely
Do not bother wasting your money here! Course was in terrible condition. Tee blocks and fairways are pure dirt. Greens are full of pebbles. Tons of better courses elsewhere.
