Update , went this past Wednesday to try again , again no one helps at pattern desk , they argue then tell one to help you , I finally picked a pattern and got out , no one said they were far and few apart , Today I go , again going to buy the exact same pattern as I needed a different size , I get to book and a lady , no hello , no good morning , just this smart remark ! Good luck finding a pattern ,I was taken back but okay , maybe she was being nice , I said no I know what I need I bought the same one the other day , she proceeds to ignore me and serve the customers at cash , I wait , they leave she’s staring into the till , I’m just standing there , she finally turns around and says what number , see if we have it , she opens drawer , nope ! Told you good luck finding one , this is all we have as the company went bankrupt , I said I wasn’t aware I purchased the same pattern on wed , no issues , I gave her another number as she seemed in a hurry , again nope only plus size !! Very short and rude . Obviously she had no patience to help me find a simple pattern , she proved that . I closed the book and said never mind , and walked out again. Went to Lens mills they may not have patterns but they were very helpful and not rushed ! They ignore you at the pattern desk , stood there waiting after I had no luck with first ones , I continued to look and when I was ready , they served another lady who was after me, at cash the lady with mask was rude , knew I was looking but ignored me . I walked out .
I really love this place mainly because of the staff. Arifa and Girhda (I hope I remembered that correctly). They’re such helpful and lovely ladies and will spend the time helping me make the best decisions for my DIY ideas. Love them.
I was in this store yesterday March 21/2021) and I agree with every bad review. Most unfriendly and not helpful. I stood in a line up around 3pm with 5 people in front of mr and 5 behind me and 1 person working on cash. Will go to Ottawa St next time.
There is one mature lady that is probably a manager I believe she looks always miserable and not happy and sometimes very rude. I will give 0 for that but the other girls that work there are amazing...
I don’t know how people have positive experiences here. I find the ladies cutting to always be standoffish and rude with me. Maybe they judge me based on my appearance and the fact that I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s definitely worth the extra drive to Lens Mills! This is just not the welcoming environment that one would hope for when they’re first starting out with sewing.
On Friday, October 2, 2020 - I did a curbside pickup order, they were so helpful I just had to write a review. If things continue the way they are I will definitely do another curbside pickup with this store. I have shopped there many times before Covid and they were very helpful but feel they went above and beyond for me with my pickup order. Thank you so much !
I have given this place a couple of chances to improve their customer service but no luck...i don't get it, just bad all around. I bought 3 colours of embroidery thread, regular price because I am not a member of the discount Club. I paid full price but the receipt stated final sale and the clerk stamped it final sale as well...why? If I bought the incorrect colour or changed my mind and didnt need it, why can't I return it? I have only heard of this for a store closure, maybe they are closing...the store was a mess...out of stock on many items. Not returning.
