Super cute little bake shop--unfortunately for us we popped in a little too close to closing so many of the baos were sold out, but still managed to snag a few flavors of mochi donuts! We had the black sesame and the jasmine tea and were absolutely delighted. The mochi donuts are both fluffy and chewy without being greasy. As someone who really seeks out a "not too sweet" dessert, I could definitely have crushed both donuts by myself (but I didn't because I love my spouse very much and my parents raised me to share). I especially LOVE tea flavors so the jasmine tea donut was a hands-down win for me. Pro tip from staff is that we really wanted to try the milk bread loaves, but they're limited quantity produced so they recommend pre-ordering. Looking forward to trying those next!!
These are the best mochi donuts I've ever had. The owner is super friendly and is always trying new things. Black sesame is the absolute best flavour. Even the packaging is nice.
All of my wife’s family nagged us to try this place and as much as I hate to admit to people I can’t stand that they were right. There is a quaint small business charm to this place. The staff are very friendly and when they ran out of the delicious full sized Churro doughnut the gentleman replaced it with two slightly smaller ones plus a full sized for free! I got the Oreo and sea salt, unfortunately I found it a bit salty for my taste, yet SALT is in the name… so what was i expecting?! Even the dough by itself is fantastically flavourful! If your downtown take a turn down Catharine street and find this little gem! Sadly you kinda have to look for it, it’s not on the main roads. That is the only criticism I have
Peter of Momoco Donuts makes the best croissants that I have ever had outside of France. Their delicious croissant loaf when available, can be used to make the most incredible French toast. Their mochi donuts are a sweet and wonderfully chewy treat. The customer service at Momoco is impeccable! Our city is lucky to have Momoco Donuts and their sister shop, MySweeTooth. Thanks for making life more delicious!
Dad had the kids at the shop, and what a wonderful experience. The kids took the time to explain each item, offering suggestions and recommendations on their personal favourites. Even recognize the wrong item got picked and made the correction. This level of customer service is so hard to come by, refreshing to say the lease. See you again soon, the food was as good as the service.
What the heck is a mochi is donut you ask?! Don’t ask just go and try it fool because this place SLAPS! Let’s begin with the donuts, a light, fluffy, chewy, sweet combination that have that heavenly equation in every bite. If you’ve never tried a mochi donut you’re living in the past pal, these are the future of donuts. Then there are the bao buns, I’m salivating as I write this: a gooey, soft, moist, bun that just melts into your mouth effortlessly *chefs kiss*. Peter is passionate about his creations and for good reason too, momoco donuts is culinary collection masterpiece.
What they do here is pure artistry. The mochi donuts are soo good, the spicy baos are fabulous. I've also had a croissant loaf and a wrapped garlic cream cheese bagel that were both amazing. The owner is also really nice. Absolutely love this place.
