First time visiting and we had a blast. Unlike the Toronto Zoo and seeing animals pacing back and forth it was great to see animals running throughout the safari.. And looking healthy. The park staff and concession stand staff were extremely friendly and helpful.Oh and driving your car through the safari wasn't not the nightmare we imagined. In the baboon area we saw maybe 3 baboon on cars. The lions den was our favourite... Rangers definitely do not allow the lions to mate as they kept breaking up a very amourous couple.Decent priced food and drinks, that was very much welcomed compared to jacked up prices at other attractions.
I REALLY had a great time at the African lion safari, and this is coming from a 23 year old. Its not just for young kids. The idea is great! A large majority of the animals are not kept in small cages but rather they get to roam around freely (in large fenced off areas) but still not your typical zoo. If you go you have to watch the bird shows, they have a bird's of paradise and a bird's of prey show and they are both phenomenal. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Me and wife had an amazing time and we would highly recommend this to all of you!
Great place to visit and bring kids. The Safari experience is very fun, specially if you're lucky to see the animals more active or stretching under the sun to warn up (fall had this advantage). The kids playground and splash pad (summer) are great and safe... Very fun!The shows totally worth it. Special exercises done to examine the animals, and to keep their body and mind sharp, are demonstrated in a very fun and informative presentation to all ages.
Awesome place to visit. Take your own car. Bus is cheap only 5.25$. But the frequent stops are not on demand. Because of the large volume of people in bus. If you have a car you can make frequent stops. Kids will love the opportunity to watch animals as much as they want. There are shows too. Dont miss it. Its always best to complete the drive through first and then go for the show
Very nice place for a whole day outing. Lots of entertainment for kids- splash area, animal presentations, elephant rides, boat & train rides, ice-cream stalls throughout. The safari part is the best part here, especially if u choose to take your own car so you can take your own time driving through and on weekdays when its not that busy u can go for multiple safari drive. Overall very well kept & maintained park, friendly staff, lots of parking available. The animals seemed to be in good health & have lot of area to roam about. Ticket about $40/adult & it is well worth it.
