Lovely store! Was so surprised to see how much they have in stock, not just in the large selection but also in the number of skeins for the yarns. Absolutely check this store out, worth the trip! The two owners I spoke to while there were both so friendly and welcoming!
Worth the hour-long drive it takes me to get here ! Incredible selection of every yarn you could ever want; they even create displays of projects hanging on mannequins and build kits of the materials so you don’t have to go searching! staff are so extremely knowledgeable and kind, answered every question I had (and I had a lot..two months ago I didn’t even know how to purl). I can’t wait to come back ?
I love the Needle Emporium. It’s my go-to yarn store for skeins, needles, & help from owner Julie. Amazing variety of yarns, everything high quality, lots of store samples so you can get ideas/see how patterns knit up. Beautiful place just to browse - all the colours & textures - but I never get out without choosing something!
Great yarns. I try to visit when I am passing through the area. However, I just noticed that the store hours are terrible- the worst I have seen at any yarn store anywhere.
We ordered yarn online and when we went to pick it up, we were berated right from the start that we didn’t have a bag. The yarn was unfortunately not right, and they gave us a refund( which we were told that they never do, so for that we we’re grateful) however, once we realized that the yarn wasn’t right, we asked the salesperson to suggest a different yarn as we had come from a distance to pick it up and we’re ready to spend money. The woman did not recommend anything else, but for us to go to a big box store. Although the sale person recommended what we should do with yarn at home, their demeanour and tone was snotty and rude. Left a really bad taste in our mouths…as people who have purchased things from here before, we won’t be back. We would rather pay more and order something online than deal with the way that salesperson made us feel.
My absolute favourite yarn store -- or possibly my favourite store, period. The staff is always helpful and the selection is amazing. A must-see for anyone who knits or crochets.
I’m so lucky, this is absolutely one of the very best in North America IMHO and its my local. You’d be hard pressed to find another YS with a wider selection. Staff are highly passionate for fibre, broadly experienced and eager to please. Exploring here never fails to reveal something irresistible.
