Ordered some walnut and maple boards at the end of August. They cleared Canadian Customs on 9/10 and were sent to a warehouse in Detroit, and they are still there to this day! Every day, UPS shows a tracking update showing "Import Scan" and "Warehouse Scan." I called UPS to find out what is going on. They informed me that the shipper needed to provide them some additional information to continue to packages' trip to my home. They said they have made several attempts to contact Stoney Creek Wook Supply, but have not made contact. They suggested I atttempt to make contact, which I already had, but I tried again. After 5 phone calls with no answer and 4 emails, my package is still in Detroit! I cannot get anyone to answer the phone or call me back, and I have had no response via email. My next step is to dispute the charge with my bank! Buyer beware!
I should have read the reviews and trusted them. I ordered a 9 pack of walnut boards that were just fine. No issues, they were what was advertised. BUT I also ordered a 5 pack of olive wood ....only I did not receive olivewood. I received 5 smaller boards of walnut with bumps/bruises. I emailed twice and sent them a message on their social media and have never heard a thing back. While I can use the walnut, I paid for and wanted olive wood. I had planned to make some pieces with it. Three attempts to contact them over a month and I get nothing but silence. I would not have paid that price for the pieces of walnut I received. Simply responding to my communications with some kind of a solution was all I ask.....
Why post that you’re open until 5pm and then close early? Then when I call there is no answer and your voicemail box is full? I’ll adjust my review if you can correct/explain. Wasted my time driving here to be met with lights out and door locked at 4:35pm on Thursday Oct 24th
My sister and I visited Stoney Creek Wood supply a while ago and found the wood choices and especially the people totally amazing!! It was a great experience!! Please don't believe the negative reviews!! Since I was there and bought wood from them, I cannot believe some of the comments that people are making. Maybe they don't realize that every piece of wood is different and each has its own beauty. People, you are buying wood, not plastic!!!
Fantastic! Small shop but so many choices and options for length. Picked up 2 walnut shelves, oiled them and they are beautiful. They were helpful and definitely going back there.
DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!! I placed an order, and a few weeks go by, and I never received anything. Emailed this company twice and never got any response from them. I also have been calling the phone number that is listed and no one ever answers. Stoney Creek if you read this, is from order #2706
Unfortunately not as advertised in pictures and videos provided by Stoney Creek. No response from customer service. Not as wide as specified. No accountability.
