Food tastes amazing but portions are small. Large is regular takeout box, and regular is small takeout box. Its a small takeout spot so prices should be cheaper or portions standard size.
NEVER EVER EVER EAT HERE. Worst customer service I have ever had in my life. I asked for NO SAUCE (it was frowned to the point of not seeing the food). I asked for Mac n cheese (it was deep fried?!)I asked for a steak salad (no steak all water sauce) When I called to kindly ask what’s up he said people like it like that and I should go eat a hotdog. He then hung up on my twice. ZERO STARS. WILL NEVER RETURN. Gross sexist behaviour: even grosser food.
Had my first visit to Wagon Grill today.....the BEST schwarma I ever had !!!!! Very fresh and so tasty...I couldn't stop eating til it was finished ...I will definitely go back again....once you try Wagon Grill's schwarma, you won't want to go anywhere else...can't wait to go back....thank you so much for a great dinner...and to the pleasant lady who served me, Surwin....sorry if I spelled it wrong
First time I've been in a very long time. Way too long as it turns out. Fantastic food, we got the chicken poutine and the mixed chicken and steak on rice. It was all great, but the steak was the star of the show. Will definitely be back now that we live a bit closer. Great place. Super friendly and welcoming!
I usually get the chicken shawarma rice combo, and it’s always spot-on. The portions are generous, the chicken is tender and well-seasoned, and the rice is packed with flavor. Their homemade hot sauce adds the perfect kick, while the creamy white sauce balances it out beautifully. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in Hamilton — highly recommended!
Ordered steak and rice combo. Lots of white sauce and rice. Not a lot of steak for 18+tax. On that note when I went to pay, I was handed the terminal which a 40, 50, 60% tip was shown. On a 20 dollar meal... why am I tipping 5-11 dollars when I'm getting less food than other shawarma places... wouldn't go back or recommend
I just wanted to reach out and say, we’ve been regulars since we’ve moved to the area years ago, but these past couple times we’ve ordered from Wagon Grill in 2024 have been incredibly pleasant experiences! The owners have always been very welcoming and extremely friendly from the moment I walk in the door. Prices are very reasonable. The food quality these past couple times has been absolutely outstanding! Rice is cooked to perfection, chicken is superb and great quality (no weird fatty bits like I’ve experienced at some shawarma spots). I don’t know what they do to the onions but they’re to die for. The garlic sauce and falafel is hands down best in the city (in my opinion) I am also a huge fan of the smaller pocket style fresh pitas they use. I know I am only one person, but please don’t change anything, and please keep doing what you’re doing. Your food brings us so much joy! There aren’t many places with this kind of passion left. To other customers - always a grape crush with your shawarma, thank me later
