Great food, albeit expensive. Takeout only. Sushi nachos were interesting, but expensive. They advertised crab meat, but it was pink-dyed fish. If it was real crabmeat, it would have been worth the price…
Awesome food! Shout out to the @Zimmerman’s for turning me onto this. Now passed on to my Bestie @Lisa. Totally enjoyed the BlueJay Platter and Crab Salad. If you’re feeling crabby, just come here for the best crab salad of your life. Staff are amazing and location is easy to get in and out of. Thank you, Jennifer ?
Amazing!!! So friendly and delicious! I am celiac and they have a dedicated GF menu and then also packaged mine separately with GF soya sauce. The rolls were amazing and my hubby said his apps and ckn were super good. Definitely worth the drive.
Hieu is absolutely amazing! The sushi here is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. His passion and skill really show in every dish. The service is friendly and welcoming, making every visit a delightful experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, top-quality sushi
"Sushi on Fennel: a culinary adventure that left us scratching our heads (and not in a good, post-good-sushi kind of way). We were looking for somewhere new, and decided to give them a shot. The sushi, I'll admit, was a solid mid-tier effort. Not gonna blow your doors off, but it'll get the job done. The problem was the tempura - what was it, a tempura crime scene? Usually, you get a light, fluffy, flaky coating that's like a whispered promise of deliciousness, but no, not here. Their version was a thin, soggy, batter catastrophe. It was like they'd forgotten the 'crisp' part of crispy fried. Now, prices, my friends, were the real kicker. Comparable to the other big sushi franchise in Hamilton (you know the one), but with a side of 'what happened to the tempura?' So, unless you're feeling adventurous (read: feeling like paying more for potentially mediocre tempura), maybe give it a miss. 2/5 stars, and that's being generous with the wasabi. Maybe go for the sashimi, but tread carefully around that tempura."
Everytime I come here everything is amazing! Very fresh and friendly staff. Today, for the first time, though, I learned that I have to be more careful when enjoying sushi. I’ve eaten sushi for 20 years without issue but today I found some bones in my salmon ? a bit stressful as now at every bite I feel stressed lol but maybe these are the realities of eating fish. Regardless of this the food is great here.
I ordered from this location hours ago, and pre paid. I am still waiting in my car for my food. The manager ensured that it would be ready in about 30 minutes, I've been waiting for 143 minutes. I'm starving and my wife is threatening to divorce me. I will leave a new review if I ever receive my food. I wish this was a joke.
