I have had one of the most shocking horrible experience at any food place… so I call at around 11:15-11:20pm to place an order for pick up. Someone picks up (a guy) and takes my order, I tell him I will be there at 11:45pm he says no problem. I get in my car and drive across town for 20mins and get there at the time I said I would, I walk in and they are basically closed with the ovens turned off and they already almost done closing shop.. I walk to the cash and say I am picking up an order I made on the phone, she tells me they never recieved an order.. I literally pull out my phone and show them the call and they start trying to tell me I made an order at another location and then I showed them no I did not.. then they tell me well we don’t have the order, I said okay take my order I will wait. She takes my order and Then they get distracted with whatever they were doing to prep closing, and after standing there for 15 mins just me in the store the whole time waiting, they start literally putting on their jackets to leave.. I ask what is going on? Where is my food? And they literally had the audacity to say oh you wanted food? Excuse me? What did you think I was standing there doing for 15 mins? Watching you close and admiring you? What did you think I meant when I told you okay make me the food and stood there for 15 mins? “Oh sorry it’s 12 now and we are closed” I was utterly shocked at this absolutely bizarre experience.. the incompetence and the none existent work ethic just shocked me. Never go to this location because they clearly have no respect to customers, their time, and experience.
Neighbours shawarma is flavourful and the chicken is on point. Preet gave me some wonderful service too and extra olives! I’ll be coming back and bringing my friends and family.
workers stingy! i’ve never had to pay $1 for each topping in my shawarma plate. will not put any extra sauce unless you pay. Food Mid. workers got attitudes. fries- refried god knows how many times. overall don’t recommend this place. save your $
Worst experience ever. Got poutine and it was cold cheese wasn’t melted. Definitely don’t recommend and the staff don’t care to fix it either. Super stingy location
TLDR: Be careful ordering through here via Uber Eats. Best to go in-person. Good food. Confusing service. Context: My family and I were fasting for the day and were looking forward to this as our Iftar. This is of course, after a wonderful long day of work. I placed a big order via Uber Eats. The Uber delivery driver calls my cell and asks me to come to the door to sort the order as he is confused. I went to the door, I tried to sort with him and he gave me the wrong items. He said he would go the restaurant to sort it. I called him back at the number he called from while he was on his way to explain the food that he dropped off was incorrect and someone else's food. I offered to return it as I merely checked to see what it was. He said he would sort it. This Uber Driver, Ali, is an amazing guy. He went to the restaurant and advocated on my behalf and made sure I got the right order. This guy cares. My family and I will keep you in our prayers, Ali. May Allah bless you. I call the restaurant and explain the situation. I give them every last little detail needed and ensure everything is understood. The gentleman who took my call was a good person and he tried but he was powerless to help, it seemed. In essence, he explained that I need to call the driver or Uber Customer Care to sort their problem. I asked if the supervisor or manager was available, they avoided the answer. They asked if I could come in person (while this place would take 1H to drive back and forth from) so they can rectify it, I explain that we ordered through Uber Eats because we do not have the time to do this. They insisted I call the non-existent Uber Customer Care to sort the issue as they can not refund the order. The guy was nice and tried his best but the system is simply confusing. Uber Eats customer care deserves its own 3-star review. They leave you to deal with a Chat-Bot. Eventually someone will try to resolve your ticket but the entire situation is an unnecessary headache.
I got chicken shawarma poutine and it was literally dry fries and chicken and maybe two drops of gravy. Like I should’ve just ordered fries and a side of chicken and it would’ve been the same but cheaper. Literally disappointed
Upgrading my review to 5 stars. Its been a year and the food is still fresh and fantastic! They see me come in and start making my usual order of reg chkn shwarma with both sauces! Very particular about eating sharma b/c every spot makes it differently but this location is top knotch. They're friendly and smiling as they work on your order. Try it and you will love it there too. ?
