It’s hard to find an authentic place with a lovely vibe but Bohemian Beirut deserves recognition for its amazing food, portions and staff. Will definitely be recommending this place.
We came in from out of town and honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed which I don’t EVER write reviews!! But I had too! There was a woman named Mimi I’m pretty sure that was her name! Beautiful curly hair, calm confidence, and completely in her element. She made a statement without trying. Even though she was clearly very busy, she still took the time to place our order and check in, and it felt genuine, not rushed. We found ourselves wondering if she was the owner, the owner’s daughter, or even the wife because she carried herself like someone who truly belongs there. My husband even commented on how beautiful she is, and told her but in the most humble way she responded your wife is even more beautiful” what a polite young lady!! but what stood out most was her presence. The way the restaurant’s vibe fits her, the way she flows through the space, and how she speaks all felt completely natural. I overheard her speaking a bit of Arabic, which caught me off guard in the best way and added another layer of authenticity to the experience. Now the food!!!! truly exceptional. The lamb with rice was outstanding. The rice was perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, layered with spices in a way that felt thoughtful and balanced. The lamb was rich without being heavy, and every bite had depth. This is food made by people who truly understand flavor, not just recipes. The presentation was beautiful, and the service was hands down some of the best we’ve received at a restaurant especially one that also delivers such high-quality food. Mimi!!!! clearly holds her place, and it shows in how smoothly everything runs. Whoever she is owner, daughter, or part of the family & heart of this place this restaurant is incredibly lucky to have her. I half-joke that I need to bring my cousin back to marry her, because whoever this woman is, she represents this restaurant beautifully. We will absolutely be back. Great ambiance the music also is a hit what a great mix of Culture!!!
What an amazing experience. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the service was impeccable. One thing of note: when ordering entrees, prepare to share amongst two people.
So so good! I am definitely going to be back with my family. The food was incredible and so delicious. They were also very accommodating and kind to my two young kids who were with us! Will def be back!
Despite a very high noise level when full, this restaurant is worthy of frequent visits. The food is outstanding with an evolving menu. Great drink menu.
We stopped for lunch and had a lovely experience. The had the loveliest time, with amazing service. Such a welcoming atmosphere. The decor is so well thought out. There are details everywhere you look. Beautiful cushions, unique lamp shades, hand painted window frame... We ordered the fish and chicken lunches and the food was definitely plentiful. Be sure to try the feta dip!! We ordered the tea with orange blossom, it came in the most beautiful cups and was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
I had been here a few times when they first opened and loved it. The vibe is great, although I am not a fan of music in a restaurant that is already loud. The decor is nice and gives the Bohemian feel. I kept telling my daughter how good it is so she and my son in law treated me to my birthday dinner recently. I had gone on and on about how good their homemade bread is and I was utterly dismayed to find that they still describe the bread on the menu, but what they serve is very ordinary grocery store naan. What a huge letdown, while they still charge very high prices. For the price that is charged, I won’t return as long as they serve grocery store bread. If they don’t want to make their own, please change the description on the menu. There is a middle eastern store with locations in downtown Hamilton and on the mountain. At the very least, if they must use store bought bread, get something tasty and authentic. They serve a delicious Persian tea that comes with a saffron infused sugar crystal stick.
