Born an raised in steel city, I have had the experience of having seeing the best and worst of human nature. City life comes with its own challenges, especially if you are an immigrant. I have seen many crimes perpetrated in Hamilton Ontario. Most of which involve violence. Stabbings seems to be a common occurrence amongst those in impoverished conditions and sometimes not! I watched a 19 year old who lives in his mother's basement, in a $450,000 dollar suburban home, best 2 random high school kids with about 12 to 15 other companions. Guess what stopped these children from beating these two children to death, for no reason at all...the larger one deficated in his pants scaring off the horde...Police intervention yielded zero results. This is a crime that took place on Winterberry Avenue Stoney Creek, Ontario. This is a suburban, rural safe environment. So it seemsCrime runs the city, many of the restaurants in the area are money laundering fronts, which would account for many, many lost tax dollars. This attitude is one of the issues that has slowed the progression of the city, as a whole.Criminal activity and political corruption are ideas most can understand, but like contracting a serious disease, know one ever thinks it will affect them, until it does.
