A couple of years ago my son was arrested and faced some pretty serious charges that could have caused him to retreat form so many positive changes he had made in his life over the last few years. As a boy he had trouble with the law when he went through a rough patch (death in the family). All things pass and he overcame this time of reflection and was accepted to university. When the police raided the huge frat party at his house (shared with 5 other roommates) and found drugs they targeted him due to his youth record. Despite being clean for 5 years and being in Science Program he became and easy target for police. Right after the incident my wife and I were frantic to address bail and called the first lawyer that came up on google. This guy seemed he knew the system form the INSIDE. The other one we met with wanted an outrageous sum of money to even discuss our case given the circumstance we told him over the phone. We came to meet Sandee through a referral from another satisfied parent and met with her for a free consultation. She was able to explain the law to us, the powers of police and standard that the crown has to achieve to get a conviction. Everything I know about the law was what i learned watching TV. What I though i knew and what the reality was were two very different things. Based on her sound advice and support my son avoided a criminal record and is now a university graduate.
Very unorganized and did not seem to have my back as they urged me to take a deal with the crown which I did not want to take as I was being charged with crimes I did not commit. I went to the end and was ready to fight my case for my freedom and innocence and the case was dismissed which meant the charges were dropped and I was free to go. If they had been more organized and supportive in my decision to fight my case, I would have rated them a 5, but because I did not receive that, I rate them this.
Wonderful hard working lawyer. She is very compassionate and understood my circumstance. She took care of my charges and I have no criminal record and back with my family again. I am so happy I met this lawyer. Thank you for your help.
Horrible experience with this lady, she never returns your calls and for some reason tries to push you to take a plea deal... she also lied to me about my charges and added an extra charge from thin air to scare me into taking a plea deal.... wouldnt recommend if on Legail Aid she might be different if you pay her
