We were in the Hamilton area and stopped in to check out the store. Didn't have any intentions of buying anything.. But with the friendly knowledgeable staff we happily walked out with a Takamura knife and sharing stone. I'll definitely be back

I really can't say enough about Gage and his band of merry men at the Hamilton location of Sharp. As a plastic surgeon, I thought I cared a lot about the importance and value of a knife, but I have nothing on these guys! I recently wanted to buy a large number of knives to give as gifts, and Gage and his team spent 2 hours in the shop with me, answering every question I had about steel varieties, handle shape, handle materials, handle construction, blade length, blade style, appropriateness of each knife for beginners, or pros, sharpening, maintenance, return/exchange policy, and of course, how to properly wash the knives in my dishwasher every day. (joking...I know, no dishwasher, ever...) I went to buy knives as gifts. I left with 18 knives, including a stunning new 210mm Gyuto for myself. The team at Sharp are truly masters of their art, and the best part is they seem to enjoy sharing their love of knives with all of us. That's the really cool part. My only warning is that if you do go to Sharp, clear your schedule for the rest of your day; you won't want to leave until you put every knife in the shop in the palm of your hand.
Bought a knife as a gift and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. I did not feel rushed and they were thoughtful as we compared different brands and styles. I also bought a cutting board and I am very happy with it.
i don’t really post reviews but after going in this spot to grab my first professional knife i had to. it’s a little intimidating when you’re just getting into something and you walk into a place like this, but kyle ran me through a fundamental knife course in 20 minutes. dude was super patient with me and very encouraging. 100% would recommend this spot and will be back for the sharpening course. don’t waste your money ordering shite knives from amazon like i did !!!

I received the truly amazing Goko Homono 2 piece knife set for Christmas 2020. The first sharpening (which is included in the price) was meticulously precise. Even the minor blemishes incurred over a year's worth of daily use were erased. Customer service is top notch and the guys at Sharp Knife are super friendly and knowledgeable. The online chat came in very handy before placing a Christmas order of my own this year. Everything arrived as promised and on time.
