Our first time getting takeout from Lucky's. We felt "lucky" once we dug into our hefty servings of halibut and chips. Everything was yummy and the woman answering phones and serving at the counter was so so friendly and accommodating. The food was deelish. I found our new regular fish and chips place.
went to this place for the first time today, ive tried Fin city fish and chips on dewitt but Lucky's is on a whole other level on both value and taste. I got the 1 piece haddock and chips for $9.99 as the lunch special and i absolutely loved it.
A small shop with only a couple of tables, but doing a steady takeout business while we ate. The service was excellent as were the haddock and chips. We plan to return.
I've tried a lot of fish and chips in the stoney creek region and this is the best place for UK style traditional fish N chips. Their haddock is so light and fluffy and delicious. The staff are also very polite. I hope they keep up the same freshness in their food.
When I picked up my order it smelled like burned old oil. Fish I recieved was barely noticeable inside the dough, and it was very over fried. Crispy like a coffee crisp candy bar lol. Ratio fish to dough was about 25% fish and 75% dough. When I opened my order, "fish" looked impressively huge! But after detailed autopsy I conducted on this beautifully formed dough in the form of fish I noticed only tiny piece of it inside, and it was dry as it was overcooked. I won't be ordering from this place again. Total rip off and dissapointment.
Orders 1 pce fish and chips, 1 lb wings and chips. Fish is decent. Chips are good! WINGS ARE BEYOND SMALL! Not a wing but maybe a NUB! I've had chicken nuggets bigger. Will not reorder the wi s again!
We tried haddock and it was Taste less , coleslaw was just raw cabbage and had no taste as well . Hand cut fries were also taste less . Best was chilled “ Diet Pepsi “ though . Service was good though and fast . Not coming again .
