Shouldn't a doctor be practicing in a hospital as opposed to a piercing clinic? Something doesn't add up. Go to piercing experts like SteelenInk, Carol Baker Visage, or even Claire's. Services and materials are overpriced here, especially for "medical plastic."
We went to get my 13 month old daughter's ears pierced this morning. I should have saved my money and went to Claire's. They didn't disclose that the facility is NOT friendly to those with physical disabilities. My 39 year old husband had to slide down the stairs on his butt. They also used a piercing gun which isn't the correct way to pierce anything anymore. They also didn't do both of my child's ears at the same time as promised. For $200 I would have expected much better. This place is a scam. Might as well go to the mall for ear piercing since anyone can use an archaic, outdated piercing gun. They require a $50 deposit to book the appointment so you're screwed and can't back out once you make an appointment.
I wouldn't recommend. Office was clean, doctor was cordial, didn't wear mask or wear gloves or wash hands before. Business is a reseller of Blomdahl products. Maybe she was a nurse was polite. $50 deposit plus $180 for two medical grade titanium earrings, not even close to retail price then add taxes. If you want your childs ears pierced before three months it's an option, if not just go to Claires. If you want a doctor over a high school aged teen go here. $220 for two earrings and piercings is too much. Id like a second pair of earrings for this price. I feel scammed. Though my fault for paying it.
Unfortunately when you read the information on the website, you think it’s too good to be true.. that’s because it is. The numbing cream was very sloppily applied on my 6 month old daughter, honestly not even sure it worked. My daughter being so young got it everywhere because she can’t sit still, so the nurse handed me the tube to apply more… very professional, however I did it for my daughters sake. They also don’t disclose that they do the piercings separately, more than likely because this would deter people from sending them their $50 deposit. I would never have went to this filthy place if you paid me. The staff were nice. Very personable… not knowledgeable by any means… but nice.
Dr Kanu and team were very kind. The clinic is clean, piecing placement was perfect and they clear about after care. The kids are healing without incident.
Had my 4 month old daughter’s ears pierced here. It was an overall good experience. The piercings are healing nicely and there are no issues with them. It’s been around 6 weeks since she has had them pierced. I liked how we were given time to calm the baby after the piercings and there was no urgency to rush. I wish the nurse (?) and doctor introduced themselves. We were given a pamphlet to read for the aftercare rather than having it explained. The cleansing wipes are $20/box, which I thought were a bit expensive and they don’t last very long. Otherwise, the staff are friendly and the piercings were quick!
I got my soon to be 7.5 year old daughter and 2.5 year old son ear pierced by Dr. Emmanuel Kanu. We had a very pleasant experience right from appointment booking till the piercing. Dr. Kanu and his staff were friendly and responsive. The entire procedure was completed in less than 30 mins while the piercing itself was completed for both of them in 6 mins. Kids were very happy. None of them cried. Piercings are perfect!
