Neil has been amazing and understanding regarding my customer service feedback. He was quick and prompt with his responses all the way and I could tell he genuinely cares about customers! I am definitely excited to come back to ECS coffee and try their various coffees and products
Inconsistent pricing in sale items. Toranni syrups on sale due to labeling issue according to the staff, but stickers range from 10.99 to 12.99 across bottles on the shelf. Did not provide a detailed receipt.
Ok place but they really need some proper, visible signage. It's almost impossible to see from Wilson street, very frustrating to locate even with GPS.
Went to the store the other day as I wanted to get some advice before purchasing my first espresso machine. The sales staff was amazing. She showed me on a demo machine how to make both an espresso and cappuccino. Nice to have a coffee with a lesson! It was one of the few times recently that going into a brick and mortar type store was a far better experience than simply buying online. I will certainly shop with ECS again.
Meh. Their personal brands are often out of stock, especially online. So being able to get what you want is challenging. I've had inconsistent product and when contacted, they needed me to bring it in for them to taste it LOL .....if it was easy for me to get there....I wouldn't be ordering online now would I?
I am giving E.C.S. Ancaster a five star review as Neil the owner contacted me directly to discuss my negative experience today. Neil’s willingness to listen to my concerns without judgment and by giving me his assurance that he would personally discuss the matter with the staff member involved, is what made me change my initial one star review to a now five star review. I also need to mention that this was not all Neil did to turn my negative experience into a positive outcome. I was gobsmacked when Neil offered to refund my entire purchase that I paid for today. To which I refused, and told him that was not necessary. In the end we agreed that instead of providing me a refund he would donate to monies to the Ontario Veterinary College OVC Pet Trust that supports innovative discoveries that improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases in pets. Including the advancement and treatment of canine and feline cancers, to which the colleges groundbreaking research has led to treatments that are now being utilized in the treatment of certain cancers in humans too. This conversation with Neil only confirmed what I have known for years E.C.S. Ancaster truly cares about the customer experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?
Went here as a last resort to pick up espresso beans. Out of all the semi local roasters they were the only place open past 5pm. Being open until 7pm meant there was no need for me to rush. When I arrived I found quite an extensive selection of espresso beans. Today I went to one of the local roaster that was originally higher on my list only to be let down relative to the beans available at ecs coffee. They had a wide selection of the top brands suggested by internet bloggers, and less than 1 month old packaged beans from local roaster like detour. The staff was friends and informative and even pulled out a helpful notes binder to explain the different espresso beans I was interested in. I might have been fortunate by visiting a down time when I had the staffs full attention. I definitely felt like I was in a good place for what I was looking for. The store is much more than a place for just beans but is worth stopping by to look at everything coffee. It is definitely worth checking out at the very least.
