I’m honestly surprised by the low rating! As a buyer, this is the best location super clean and organized even the toys are easy to find! Not like other places where you have to dig through dirty bins. Kudos to all the staff for managing such a clean store!
The WORST location to try and sell your stuff to. The buy counter is ALWAYS closed and not taking items to buy. It doesn’t matter what time of day I have gone in, it is always closed to buy. Don't waste your time bringing stuff to this location, go to upper james location. I have taken stuff there at 7pm and they will still be open to buy. I wouldn't recommend even shopping at the stoney creek location and supporting the business because of how crappy the buying system is here. Support another location that is run properly and appreciate the customers bringing in items and have the proper amount of staff to function properly. Stoney creek location clearly has a problem keeping and hiring staff to run efficiently. So disappointing as this location was conveniently located and I use to enjoy shopping here. Not sure what changed but it is not what it use to be.
Not a great experience with selling here. I dropped off a box of clothes, shoes, with two toys at 12:20 p.m. I was told it would be ready by 2:30 at the latest. I came in at 4 and they said it wasn’t ready and they didn’t even look through my things, it wasn’t ready until 5 p.m. I had to make another trip to the store which is ridiculous. The staff members weren’t too friendly, giving a hostile attitude, especially the two older ladies. For the things they took, which were lightly used, (winter boots that were never worn), brand new shoes (2 pairs) and two brand new fisher price toys (little people) they gave me $17. Which is an absurd amount for what they took, if I would’ve realized what they took for what they offered me I would’ve left with all of my things and I’m angry that I didn’t. This location is unprofessional, it’s quite literally a joke. I will no longer be coming here to shop or sell. The upper james location is much better, they give you better customer service and actually give you a decent price for the things they buy off of you.
I had a lovely experience shopping at your store! The selection of baby clothes is adorable and well-organized, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I especially want to say thank you for the thoughtful gift — the little onesie you gave me at the checkout truly made my day.
Horrible experience trying to sell today. I dropped off one bin, and one bag of clothing today at 1245pm. The person who checked me in, said it would be 'a couple of hours', the app said it would be done at 330pm. At 445, I called to check in as the status on the app didn't change. They said they were working on it, and it would be another 30 min. I said i was on my way as have things to do or can come tomorrow, and i was told no. I got there at 5pm it still wasn't done.. my bin was ransacked and a mess. The very rude associate was abrasive, loud and very unprofessional. She was a older woman with grey hair in a ponytail. She stated that they stopped working on it and put it away when I said I was coming. She was smirking and seemed ready for a confrontation for no reason. She was awful and when I questioned the time, she said it was busy. There were 6 people working and maybe 4 customers in the store. The other 5 women behind the counter seemed terrified and didn't speak. I have went to this location at least 20 times, so I sent a private message on Facebook messanger prior to posting this, and it was not responded to. Based on the other bad reviews, Im surprised they are still open. I will drive further to go to the Upper James location as they are great there. Horrible experience overall.
This is the second time I’ve tried this location. We brought a huge box of great clothes and accessories and toys and they gave them all back. We washed them all prior too. Last time I came they said they weren’t taking anything at all so I guess this is better than that. We were told it would take over 3 hrs and then we were messaged an hour later. All in all it cost more to drive here. Should have just donated them. I love the idea of this place but it’s more of a pain than it’s worth. Staff in all locations seem to be quite miserable too.
The people are nice....and we will continue to shop here....however...i would rather donate to Goodwill or another charity before ever selling to them again! They only accept certain items...and they refused brand new items with tags on them...lol. And then never offered to hold the door open as I had to take the items back to my car...even though they weren't busy .
