I love shopping here, especially when they have promotions and deals going on. The pricing is fair, they seem to have a good awareness of what is valuable and what can be priced lower to move it quickly. I must say I really have found some excellent deals over the years, gently used uggs for my daughter (totally worth the higher price point because new would be over $100). I got a whole new unused with tags dance outfit with tights and ballet shoes for under $20. Excellently priced brand new condition jackets, etc.. I love getting the kids their ice skates from here and trading in their old ones. When selling items to them it's often confusing and disappointing. I can't figure out what they want. For example, during the month of August when I was desperately buying up all their school uniforms in my kids sizes, I tried to trade in mine and they wouldn't take them. Surely there were other parents looking for gently used H&M and Osh Kosh navy pants for their 5/6 year olds. But no, they wanted nothing to do with them. They were exploding with size 10 but very hard to find any school pants smaller than that. Overall I commend them, they seem to know what they want and that's fair. They are running a good business overall and it helps many families in different ways.
I was having one of those days where nothing seemed to go right, but the young lady helping me I think her name was Ayan completely turned it around. She helped me figure out which items were the best deals, kept things light and fun with her jokes, and even helped carry some of my stuff out to the car. She was caring, sweet, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I left feeling so happy and grateful honestly, she made my day. Definitely recommend asking for her!?
Going to other Once Upon A Child locations makes you really appreciate this one. Staff are always so welcoming and nice, and I always find some great deals for my daughter.
It was my first time to visit Once upon a child. I am not a big fan of making money out of children's stuff, I prefer donating to the community. Yesterday I went there with a bag of good quality clothes. My understanding was that the organization will refuse something if they are broken, damaged, expired, ripped or too old which is not worth the money but they refused Adidas branded clothes there was random girls fashionable very gentle use clothes (I have seen they r selling worse than that)I was looking for the person who is responsible to give me some proper answers, someone's name was Jeannie. probably the supervisor anyways I showed my clothes, the answer was very clear 7 to 8 size clothes not taking! Q.how do people know that specific size you don't take? Next... the answer was only for that day!! So someone will bring something and you're making invisible magic rules at the store right away for the DAY?Do you think this is the way of dealing with the business? Then I shared with her another experience...In the aisle I found a very old red shirt (size 10) which had a big hole at the back (I was surprised to see that quality cloth hanging for sale) The price was 6 dollars! I brought it to the counter and asked do u think people will buy this one or is it worth the money? The staff right away put the ripped shirt away. Later I mentioned Ms Janenie also requested to see the CCTV to figure it out because I didn't take any pictures of that. Shoes r damaged but they put prices $12/$15/$18 (some has no shoeless the staff says don't buy then) They choose only 5 items out of the bag for $6 dollars. I know the item wasn't worth only 6 dollars. The organization and whoever is related with this business need to be very honest and fair with the community. because u r using the name Once Upon A Child! you should value it. When u r refusing with something good on the other hand u r selling or displaying broken, damaged or ripped stuff it doesn't make any sense to us! pls make a good impact on the community. Plz see the pics,In your store there are still more low quality clothes hanging and selling. Thanks
Love this location for shopping, I was looking for a specific item today and a terrific employee by the name Isabel assisted me in finding it. Sold items and purchased items, all the ladies at the buy and sell counter were also great
The manager Karen is disgustingly rude to employees infront of customers can’t imagine how she is behind closed doors. Terrible management I feel bad for the employees.
They have been a saving grace during the lockdown! Quicker and cheaper than any other curbside pick up and communication is amazing. I’d DM them on Instagram with what I was looking for and they’d send back pictures of what they had in stock, would confirm, pay, and pick up all in less than an hour. Thank you so much OUAC!
