We had some ups and downs in our experience with Fig & Lemon. Their customer service, professionalism and support throughout the planning process was wonderful. I have celiac disease and some family members with very specific dietary needs. Unfortunately, while we felt so taken care of up front, when it came to execution the team on site did not deliver what was scoped. We had a guest that went without a meal because of this, items prepared not in line with our tasting or the dietary specifications agreed upon and noted in our contract. The team was helpful in making things right after the fact, but it was very upsetting for us. My hope is it was a one off for the team, but I would feel the need to go with a different caterer in future to ensure that my dietary and other guests' dietary needs were approached with a sense of importance and based on what was outlined in our contract.
Loved the food at the tasting and dealing with Nicole was easy and she was very helpful. The food at the wedding was perfect, everyone commented on how good all the food was.
I’ve used them many times and Nicole is always an amazing person to deal with. I highly recommend them for any catering needs you’re looking for, big or small.
Everything was beautiful and so tasty. fig&lemon was easy to work with and made our event very special. Definitely recommend and would happily work with them again.
Terrible wedding experience! Fig & Lemon was a huge mistake for our 50 guest wedding. Food was served cold, salads were soggy, bread was not fresh nor with whipped honey butter and crème brulee was the worst we have ever had. We hired 2 porters to help based on their recommendation who were also not seen by our wedding party setting up. It was bad enough to have your wedding day so largely impacted but our experience was even worse dealing with the team afterwards. They took no ownership in the issues and instead blamed us for guests not being seated (which was not true) and for the bride & groom not hunting down their staff to resolve issues on the spot. Our guests echoed the dinner was disappointing. We did not anticipate such a bad experience as the tasting went ok but completely did not represent what was provided on the day. After over two months of emails and poor responsiveness, we finally received a refund offer which did not even meet our extremely low refund request. They refused to explain how they calculated the refund amount and we were told there was no point of further communication. Provided Fig & Lemon are owned by Carmens, we expected much better and would not recommend.
fig&lemon was a pleasure to work with. They were happy to collaborate and ensure the menu and logistics were exactly what we needed and the food was absolutely worth 5 stars!
