I've been a customer at Reliance Auto Mechanic on Cannon St. In Hamilton for about 5 years. I drive a 2011 Honda Fit with lots of km. on it. I have had good experiences with every visit. Joe, who runs the garage and is the senior mechanic is, in my opinion, a totally excellent mechanic, totally honest, a really good communicator, a man of his word, and occasionally has gone out of his way to meet my time needs,. Etc. My 5 star rating of Reliance reflects my very excellent experiences there. I have no personal or business connection with Reliance other than getting my car serviced. I go there because it's near my home..
I took my car in and asked them to fix the noise coming from the front of the vehicle. They recommended fixing the rear wheel bearing and confirmed with me three times, so I trusted them to do the work and get rid of the noise. I left the shop with the same noise. I came back and went for a test drive with Joe and he confidently told me it was the exhaust creating that noise and fixed that. I left the shop with the same noise. I took it somewhere else for another opinion and right away they found the front wheel bearing causing the noise, even though reliance auto confirmed they looked at it and confirmed it was okay. The other shop was able to fix the noise on their first try. When following up with Joe his explanation was that they test drove it after, both times, with no noise and something must have broken within my first drive leaving the shop, both times... Seems like an unlikely explanation.
Great service, super friendly staff! I also like how they always use OEM parts, especially considering how well they price their services. I will definitely be coming back here
Always good service. I've been coming here for about two years and I trust the sevice and pricing. I had my car fully serviced because I was going on a 16 hour drive. Joe made sure my car was safe for the trip. My plans were changed but I'm glad the car was fully serviced. Joe is always professional and he explains any concerns prior to doing the work. This is very important when you're on a budget. I will keep coming back.
I brought was towed in at my request. They diagnosed the problem within minutes. Located parts immediately even though i knew one part would have to be sourced at a body shop.fixed my car in one afternoon. Did a great job. Total cost was very reasonable considering the amount of work being done. I recommend this garage to everyone. Can't thank them enough for there honesty and great work.
