Recently started bringing my car to Westown Auto after years of servicing at the dealer. Have been through both a service that is tracked and maintained for lease purposes, as well as purchased and installed winter tires. Vince, Peter and the team are great and I highly recommend them.
I have been going to Westown Auto for over 20 years. Ever since the first time on a Saturday when they were closed and I had a flat tire which they fixed for me, gratis. I was going from Toronto to Brantford, to pick up my son, on the way back, I had the issue. Since then, they have always been fair and treated me, like one of the family. Gus was an amazing man, Vince and Peter have kept their father's business and have continued in his honest and friendly tradition. I only have to tell them what is wrong and they can diagnose the problem by my description. Excellent shop, would highly recommend them to anyone
I used this shop before and recieved a decent price to have my timing belt replaced on my VW Golf. I took my car back again to replace a broken driver's side spring. This time I was given a lengthy list of "issues" with my car and after I deferred any other service besides the spring, I was given a total of $2600 + to repair the spring along with the other side and rear shocks, and struts, tie rods etc. I was told that when taking parts off to get to the spring it would be better to replace everything else along the way as they cant guarantee it's just the spring causing the rattling noise. This price was absolute robbery, and when I asked for just the spring to be replaced, I was told they wouldn't do it. They said they'd only do it if I replaced everything. They said they would only do everything for $2600, or just leave the car and do nothing at all. A photo was also sent of my serpentine belt and was told it was cracked and needed replaced and many other issues. I picked up my car and paid my diagnostic fee and took my car elsewhere. It was only $345 to fix my car elsewhere at a VW specific garage. I found out my serpentine belt is also completely fine. Places like this that take advantage of people whom they think know nothing about cars shouldn't be in business. Its absolutely terrible. If I could give no starts I would. I wouldn't recommend anyone using this shop.
Vince and the team are very friendly and professional. I've been bringing my Audi Q5 there for a number of years and have never had any issues with them or the car. Its nice to support a local small business that cares!
We were on a family trip to Niagara Falls from the US when our car broke down a few blocks from Westown. We called and even though they were very busy, the owner and a mechanic hopped in their car and came to help us within 5 minutes. They fixed our car quickly so that we could get back on the road and the price was so reasonable. They were amazing! So kind and did a great job. Would 1,000% recommend.
Vince, Peter and the entire family at Westown Auto are first class proffesionals. I have confidence having my closest friends and family have their vehicles serviced at Westown Auto. It is hard to be comfertable selecting a place to have your vehicle fixed, but once you have been to Westown and dealt with Vince and Peter and the family you will become lifetime customers and will just know you are in good hands. Always keeping up with the lastest technology and best business practices they are truly industry leading and what a automotive repair facility should be!
Booked an appointment on August 28th for the morning of Aug 31st. Showed up for the appt and find that they have no record of the appt, nor is the person who was going to look at my car in today. Was going to take a chance to have this garage service my BMW but now they've lost any chance of obtaining my business. Customer service is useless unless you are ORGANIZED. If you can't book a simple appt I certainly won't trust you to look after my car!
