Amazing display and varieties of all things. Paper, paints, pens, anything for art and writing you could find here. On the pricey side but good quality supplies and friendly, welcoming staff. Wish it was dog friendly I would stop by more
It was lovely to speak with the owner about the history of this store. They have a selection of brands you wouldn't see at your chain art store. I will visit again when I am in Hamilton.
I recently bought a fountain pen used, had no idea what to do with it. Mixed Media was recommended by a coworker, and after entering the shop I knew I was in the right place. Dave, the owner, is super knowledgeable and extremely nice. He helped me no problem, in a kind and professional manner. While I was there I bought a starter fountain pen for my son. Would recommend this store to anyone looking for cool stationary.
This place is great. Went in to buy some watercolours for my girlfriend with no knowledge whatsoever. Dave was super friendly and helpful and I left with everything she'll need. Highly recommend this place and will certainly be back.
The new location with the added bookstore is a real treat to visit. Such a lovely assortment of books, art supplies and stationery. One of our favourite shops in Hamilton -- we never leave empty handed.
Super duper friendly. Growing selection, pleased with the amount of woodcut tools and similar artsy instruments. Overall great atmosphere in a convient location. I'm wondering why they aren't open on mondays. Overal great place if your into creating/scrapbooking/stationary etc.
A small but well stocked art store in the heart of the newly revitalized James St N. neighbourhood. I absolutely love these independent stores that somehow manage to pack so much product into such a small space. You could spend well over an hour in there and probably not see everything. I was greeted with a warm smile by a gentleman at the desk, and half listened as he struck up conversations with people in the shop, some he knew and most he didn't. He talked about the store, the neighbourhood, and some of the local events in the area. I was looking at some of the stationary, and he came over and starting talking about the different brands of notebooks; their different paper stocks, paper types, and the best type of pen to use for each. Thinking about spending twenty dollars, I ended up spending closer to eighty because of the service provided. A great little shop with lots of products and staff who are knowledgeable.
